My Elven hunks/bishies

And now for my red/gold glade guard. Yeah I know that that is an unusual look for woodelves but as they are my only woodelves I had no choice but to integrate them into my High-Elf army. Thus they needed to have the army colors. Over all I think that it works surprisingly well.
Anyway these pretty cool looking minis were made by “Games Workshop” (http://games-workshop.com). That is with one exception: One of the minis is part of the Reaper Bones collection (made by Reaper Miniatures - http://www.reapermini.com). I just wanted to find out if I could take one of their minis and integrate it into one of my armies. If you look closely you will find out which one is NOT Games Workshop.
By the way I also, to be more thematically accurate, houseruled that all elves hit with a 3+ because I figured that their long lifespan gives them more fighting skill than a chaos marauder or a clan rat. :-)
Over all I do play Age of Sigmar, but with me it is heavily modded. :-)
Too proud for the death
Dragon blades do not give up even in death.
A short AOS battle today! My skaven were getting work done, but once the Stormvermin were wiped out the Phoenix swept my clanrats out of the way in just 2 turns, brutal!
And now for the Bolt Thrower that is part of my High Elf army. To be totally correct, my wife usually plays the High Elfs because she loves the shooty armies and tries to employ guerrilla tactics whenever possible.
I personally am more of a close combat guy. Love the fray, love hacking and slashing. That is pretty useful when we play coop in something. She usually plays the sniper and I play the tank/close combat guy.
Anyway, this beautiful and, by the way, very useful mini was made by “Games Workshop” (https://www.games-workshop.com) and should be used in any High Elf army.
Another AOS battle against Death! Unfortunately I lost again though. I played with 20 Phoenix Guard and 2 Annointed, but i just cannot seem to do enough damage to any of the Death units. With so many negative “to hit” modifiers, ignoring Rend, doing Mortal Wounds, and healing wounds/models back to units, there just does not seem to be a good way to fight them without just getting obliterated. I definitely welcome any tips or advice for taking out Death armies!
And now for something completely different. :-)
Yea this is my Phoenix rider. I liked the head of the Frostphoenix more than that of the flaming one, so I used my sculpting skills to make a few more flames to cover the snowflakes with.
Anyway I had a lot of fun painting this mini. It was made by “Games Workshop” (http://games-workshop.com) and is now the heart of my elven (or are they called Aelfs?) army. I painted the elfen lord riding the Phoenix in the color scheme I made for my whole elven army: red/white/gold. They look a little more fierce and less bland that way.
I will post a few more of my elves soon. But I might have to give some a few more highlights.
The Wanderer
An elven stranger who will lead my Tilean Mercenaries to Lustria (being used as an elven ranger hired sword) The Aenur model is one of my favourite sculpts from Games Workshop ever. He is very simple, but has a striking pose and features, with incredibly crisp details. It was a pleasure to paint and I’m so pleased he is part of my collection now.
