About Suede, Jane, and traveling through 3 main cities in 12 hours.
(Mostly about touching Brett and kissing his cheek.)
I wanted to wait til I cool down a little to write about 15th and 16th November, but instead I got fever and the hotness doesn't seem to cool down, in fact I was 39°C a while ago. (This was an intro.) :-D
So me, my best friend Jane and her very kind grandpa drove to Bratislava on a friday morning and it was amazing - we were listening to Suede cd's, stopping for coffee, (Jane got trapped on a toilet :-D ), and we were all excited. I wrote "Do you believe in love there?" on Jane's back and she wrote "What to believe in?" on my lower belly, it seemed very romantic to us having written those lyrics on our bodies while being on the concert. We got to Bratislava and went shopping for clothes. Shopping centre has to be a part of a trip doesn't it?? I got one mesh top that was quite cheap and I wonder if I will ever wear it without tank top under it. (I want to!!)
In no time we were in Vienna searching for Gasometer. Such a beautiful complex it is! And it has a very complicated parking system indeed. We checked the surroundings and some shops and bought some sparklers, strawberry and chocolate cakes - we are that romantic. :-D I almost fainted, cause I was nervous and excited at the same time and I was afraid my knees will fail me. We changed clothes in a car to skirts, black pantyhose and I wore a sparkling violet top I once got from secondhand. We got back out of the parking labyrinth, had a "last visit of the toilet", just to find out that the supporting band starts in more than hour - our tickers were wrong. So we discovered this beautiful restaurant in Gasometer and got ourselves a beer in the cutest beer glass I've ever seen.
We got inside the venue, and bought Suede T-shirts from a woman that was surely off her tits on something strong. We were the youngest people in the hall. Some very nice Serbian girl talked to us and there was one very loud Slovak woman that we've talked to, too. Teleman started to play and Jane quite liked them. Than the first louder tunes of Bodies by Sex Pistols started to play and the whole hall got excited, it was time! And what came after... Suede started with Introducing the Band and everyone was crazy in a while. They played My Insatiable One, that's made me very happy. Jane enjoyed Two of Us, I've got it all filmed. They played a lot of Head Music that we first didn't want them to play, but there, live, it was amazing. I fell in love with Indian Strings, the "so saaad" part got me so high. ♥
And than the best moments came... Brett went down to the audience and it looked like people would tear him apart, I too slid my fingers down his chest? AND he winked at me, took my hand and what happened than… I just don’t know. We’ve touched our foreheads and like that we sung “everything will flow” together. I’ve been singing with my favourite singer ever, so close and so… Intense. The energy, god. Two songs later, when For The Strangers was played he returned down to the crowd and we held hands again and I kissed his cheek I did it! :-D It’s just that, there was so much LOVE all over the place, I was there with my best friend, the crowd was amazing and so nice and Suede, oh god, they were awesome. And this has really happened - in case I’d think it was a dream. It was TOO real to be a dream. Btw Brett has a really beautiful perfume. :-D ♥♥♥
After the gig, some janitor found us on the toilet floor with our black pantyhose. I was smelling Brett's perfume from my hand and Jane looked like she couldn't move. We sat there for like half an hour, speechless. We got out of Vienna before 12pm.
Our hostel was in Bratislava. Me and Jane fired the sparklers in our Suede T-shirts, listened to Sex Pistols and ate crisps. Next morning we had a coffee in a shopping centre and headed to Budapest. And we were there quite fast, we opened our windows and just yelled into that beautiful city. The weather was perfect and we felt quite blissful - it was sure that life after Suede continues. :-D We visited the Castle Hill, had very expensive roasted chestnuts and enjoyed the scenery. There was a marzipan museum too, with Harry Potter from marzipan. :-D We walked a bit of Budapest and than it was time to go home.
I DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE UNDERSTANDS BUT THOSE WERE THE BEST DAYS EVER, I miss it and I wonder if I'll ever feel more love and freedom than there. I still feel like a bit of a hangover, maybe that's why I'm ill now, who knows. But it is sure it was a start of mine and Jane's traveling history and I'm looking forward for more cities we will visit together and hopefully we'll be lucky to see Suede again. ♥
