Jurrac Aeolo ———————————————— You can Tribute this card to select 1 Level 4 or lower "Jurrac" monster in your Graveyard, except "Jurrac Aeolo". Special Summon that monster from the Graveyard. ———————————————— Can Be Found In: Hidden Arsenal 4: Trishula's Triumph (HA04-EN107), Duel Terminal 4 (DT04-EN027)
Dinosaurs have a very big focus on leading battles with strong creatures, and their archetypes replicates the same objective with small differences. Jurrac obtains the majority of their abilities by defeating weaker enemies in the Battle Phase, with their Synchro Monsters getting stat boost to finish off our opponent. Although the archetype only offers monsters and no exclusive support, with the staple cards of their Type as well some advantages for belonging to the FIRE Attribute these creatures have enough options to dominate games with.
"Jurrac Aeolo" might be one of the weakest monsters among its kind, but compensates with an effect valuable to play arround a few turns after the Duel starts. By simply tributing itself, "Jurrac Aeolo" let us revive a Level 4 and below Jurrac from our Graveyard except copies of itself. So in other words a card we can depend on to retrieve its stronger allies by simply being tributed, and together with his low stats gains a lot of opportunities to not only abuse its effect but also provide some alternatives uses thanks to its position as a Tuner.
Like many other weak creatures, "Aeolo" compensates its pitiful stats with an array of cards supporting its arrival on the field from early to mid game. "One for One" directly summons this Jurrac from the Deck upon activation, becoming the most immediate tool to obtain "Aeolo" right away. Since Jurracs have a big focus on battles they also offer ways to summon this creature during the Battle Phase with the help of either "Jurrac Guaiba" or "Jurrac Velo", with the additional assistance of "Flamvell Firedog" as summons FIRE monsters by the same method. We can take a safer approach by adding "Aeolo" to our hand if we work along the effects of "Soul-Devouring Oviraptor" and "Fossil Dig", while in late game banishing "Miscellanousaurus" from the Graveyard will let us summon it from our Deck. When it comes to "Aeolo" in the Graveyard the options are incredibly wide for our own choice with cards like "Kinka-byo", "Rekindling", and "Limit Reverse" among several others constantly reviving it without any difficulties.
While "Aeolo" has a clear objective of reviving other Jurracs, don't forget that its a Tuner and thus giving it further uses beyond working along the Graveyard. With the several methods to not only be summoned from the Deck but also be recycled from the Graveyard, "Aeolo" can go from Special Summoning other Jurracs to becoming material of all sorts of big summons, obviously including Synchro Summons. Specially with the help "Kinka-Byo", several copies of "Aeolo" and this Spirit will let us prepare all sorts of Extra Deck summons since the Jurrac's effect can still be used despite being negated on the field. When comes to its effect although restricted there're several options to target for the right circumstances, with "Jurrac Velo" and "Jurrac Guaiba" summoning other monsters while in battle, "Jurrac Iguanon" bouncing Set cards which can include monsters, or "Jurrac Monoloph" attacking as many monsters as possible in a single turn. Like "Aeolo" the monsters it revives can also help to prepare bigger summons with, as not only they'll have higher Levels but some of them are Tuners as well. And while we can wait for the opponent to defeat them so we can revive them in the next turns, we can use effects such as "Foolish Burial" or "Soul-Devouring Oviraptor" to dump them from our Deck so "Aeolo" obtains the right Jurrac to revive.
"Jurrac Aeolo" might not stand out when comes to stats, but is clear that has a vital purpose to support the archetype in two important departments. As a Tuner already gives it a big role as material of all kinds of summons, as well making it less dependable of its effect to be functional on early hame. Almost the same applies to its ability, as not only can summon the right Jurrac for the right Battle Phase but as good "Aeolo" is to setup other summons the same applies to the monsters it revives. "Aeolo" might be stuck assisting the archetype from beginning to end, but the many possibilities and options to be summoned and recycled makes it a highly valuable Jurrac for all purposes.
Personal Rating: A
+ Tributes itself to revive another Level 4 or below Jurrac + Highly supported from early to late game + Flexible uses as being a Tuner
- Reduced to a support role due its low stats
