Aethalides is a son of Hermes and has the ability to remember everything, even after drinking from the river of forgetfulness, meaning that when he was reincarnated he still remembered his past life.

AETHALIDES

In Greek mythology, Aethalides was a son of Hermes. Aethalides was the herald of the Argonauts, and had received from his father the faculty of remembering everything, even in Hades. He was further allowed to reside alternately in the upper and in the lower world. As his soul could not forget anything even after death, it successively migrated into many bodies, including Pythagoras, in whom it still retained the recollection of its former migrations.

Aethalides is from Greek myths and is in some versions of Jason and the Argonauts as the herald of the Argo.

As a son of Hermes he’s gifted with immortal memory, able to remember everything even in death and after drinking from the river Lethe. Because of this, once he’s reborn he remembers everything from his various previous lives.

This is why he’s ten years old in my book, Tales from the Archives.
