Being offered affection was strange.
His brothers HATED him. They always made him feel as though he was not important, that he was less than human because he was the youngest. It was the worst feeling that he had to deal with in his life. Even when he was the face of the church! He was still chided for his ways of attracting people to the church, for his flamboyant actions and his damned kazoo.

Now that was pleasing to his ears. To be called with such cute names, Papa always did enjoy pet names after all. And to continue to receive affection from those who wait, it made him feel warm and fuzzy on the inside.

Maybe he wasn’t so disliked after all. Often, he was outshadowed by his older brother in terms of how much people liked him. It hurt inside, not that he would ever show that to anyone. But this sweet moment was something he would more than likely keep for his worst days.
