Got rlly nostalgic lately…so I decided to rewatch Mobox87/Goldbox’s old FNaF animations, specifically the ones centered around their versions of The Missing Children, and MAN- did it hit me hard. Those stupid characters and music videos had such an impact on my life. It’s what inspired me to get into drawing, and it’s what comforted me during rough parts of my childhood. It really is such a shame that the creator of said videos turned out to be such a toxic problematic person.

I love these characters so much, and I think about them a whole lot to this day. And I kinda like them more than the canon missing children, tho I think that’s the nostalgia talking cuz these designs and names r honestly really unoriginal n lazy- I’m looking at YOU, Freddrick and Alfred.

Anyway, separating the art from the artist, I wanted to give new life to these characters, especially since Mob heavily underutilizes them, and thankfully since they weren’t associated with the problematic stuff.

And so, that’s what prompted me to draw these.

Thank you for eleven years of Five Nights at Freddy’s.

This franchise and all fanmade related media will always have a special place in my heart, and it will forever feel like a home for me.

Since this has become somewhat topical recently call me "that one friend who's too woke" or whatever but frankly I'm put off by the fact that people are still depicting Mobox!Vincent as white in The Big '26.

Yes I know he's basically a comepletely different and seperate character from Reborniverse!Vincent but he is still fundamentally one of the various POC characters Mobox got her mitts on and, well, removed the POC from and I just can't wrap my head around around a reason to keep depicting him as the whitewashed version she made him? That includes things like "it's the design I grew up with" or "I'm trying to be accurate".

It's not made any better by the fact that it can be deduced he did at one point have the correct skin tone or the fact that the character bearing his name and design in Rescue Action (one of Mobox's projects) did, however Mobox just decided to scrap it and give him the literal pale white he's recognized as.

I’m slowly starting to do stuff again after a long break. I’m sick as hell of my own laziness.

It was good practice, the style feels really easy to work with. Kinda took me back to my childhood. This is definitely not the last time I draw him in this style.

He’s the most dear and precious character to me out of all of them. I drew this fanart as a thank-you for bringing inspiration into my life. It’s an honor for me to be part of the FNaF fandom since 2017 and to have met so many creative, incredibly inspiring people.

I just want to be clear and have my voice heard. Thank you, this means so much to me.
