I dont think im a monster for getting horrific news and not immediately falling apart and instead just kinda continue. it feels monsters and disgusting but my primary coping mechanism as always been dissociation/escapism ever since I was small. when i leave my window of tolerance I tend to fall into hypoarousal which i learnt during my last therapy session. Ultimately this is a normal reaction and i have a history of reacting like this. It doesnt mean i dont care i absolutely do

To the POC in the Choices Fandom:

So recently there’s been a wealth of posts that call attention to the racist elements within the fandom and Choices itself, and—as is too often the case—discussions of race lead the racists to emerge.

These discussions remain incredibly important to have, but in the wake of the resulting outpouring of racism that many have been forced to confront, I wanted to take a moment to reaffirm all the POC in the fandom:

You are real. Your experiences are valid, and don’t ever let anybody tell you otherwise. You deserve to be a part of this space.

You are seen. You are here, and there is no one in this world who is powerful enough to erase your presence. You shall forever exist.

You are heard. Your words reach all of those whose ears are open. Your voice is loud and proud, and it can never be silenced.

And to all those who continue to speak up despite the opposition, who engage in those discussions while knowing their audience’s ignorance, who continue to fight no matter how many stand against them—

affirmation post Ok so im tired as heck, still jet lagged and sore muscles in my legs. however... Im in a real nice slice of time here. easy shift, read a good book, caught up with mum, delicious dinner eats, plus time with j&j which was a surprise and great. like its Christmas soon and pammy is coming for nye and all the girls are up for it. and I'm gonna make some good money over xmas and buy myself something real real nice w my tip money. and then it's holiday numero duo!!! and thanksgiving was so nice and I love my family and my family's family are so nice and the food was so good. also dogs exist so that's cool. Finally rn I have a hot cup of tea to drink, I just found a new vampire weekend song in my likes that I forgot about and I'm gonna get some good sleep tonight lovin it

affirmation post time

1)family-- supportive like wow!! want the best for me want me to do whatever makes me happiest!! take me on holiday!!! love them more than anything

2)friends-- jeez what a good network i have, home friends are awesome- so chill and nice to hang out with. plus i get to keep my uni friends! they are moving to london! i am getting the best of both worlds and i literally did not think i would be able to have that ever. i don’t have to live missing half my people. 

3) the combo of friends and family. like ive known everyone at home so long they just are my family. my cousins are the Best and we are actual legit, would be friends even if we weren’t related, buddies to me. plus like i was saying today Pal is my straight up sister. also also J is 100% family and friend and im so beyond glad she lives here too.

4) me!!!! i am enjoying my own company more than ever! my imagination is firing off! i am succeeding in so many areas; im shaping my future day by day, communicating so well with myself, keeping up with everyone, being kind!

i am going to do my best this week and if it doesn’t work 1) fuck it i can get other jobs 2) failing to get this job does not mean Anything about my ability to get other jobs 3) i gonna give it a bloody good go and trying and failing is 1000x better than just not trying (remember this!!!!)
