I have to be very careful about leaving dresser drawers open. One cat will dig clothing out into the floor to make the perfect sized nest. Another one will put his paws on the drawer to look up at one sleeping... and slide it closed with them inside. Basically every morning I run back to double check that everything is closed and nobody is stuck inside. 😂
A lot of my favorite classics were recommended by my great-aunt. But for non-classics, probably Pet Sematary by Stephen King, which was recommended by my dad.
What book is...
6. …the one you’ve read the most times over?
Either Wuthering Heights or Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. I’ve lost count for both, so I’m not actually sure.
Character who...
19. …you would want to be friends with?
I’ll go with a different character than the last time I got this question. I think I’d get along really well with Tash from Tash Hearts Tolstoy.
the lightning thief: what would you be the god/goddess of?- I’m not going with the obvious choice and say books, so I’m gonna say herbs. I don’t know if there’s such a thing as Goddess of Herbs but wow, let me advertise rosemary and thyme and parsley. Let me give it to you and if you don’t want it I shall be angry and give it to you anyways.
i’ve got 365 listed as read on goodreads. i started that account in 2012 and tried to add as many books from the years before then, but there’s probably a good 50/100 more i read when i was little i couldn’t remember
9. book you expected more of
so so many tbh, but i have to say one would be children of blood and bone :( possibly because the ‘next harry potter’ hype was in the back of my mind, but apart from the first chapter and the end i thought the plot was a bit of a letdown. the powers and tribes and mythology are so interesting so i wish it’d focused more on that and less on the tropes and (fairly problematic??) romance
20. favourite male friendship
the first i thought of was ron and harry or dean and seamus then i tried to think of more and it’s actually quite hard there deffo needs to be more good pure male friendships!!! maybe nick and simon from simon vs the homosapiens agenda
23. favourite prince/ king
honestly i don’t remember reading a book with a prince or king who was actually likeable so i’m gonna say shakespeare’s richard iii because at least he was knowingly evil
