Afionas is a traditional village in Northern Corfu, Greece. Its Church of Saint John was built in 1636. Every August 24th, the local people celebrate Saint John’s day with a festival that includes the custom of Lámbata, according to which the residents light fires and jump over them. The village is famous for the wine it produces and it is located near the stunning beach of Porto Timoni.
