Saurus from AFK Arena! Just got started on AFK Arena a couple of days ago, and having an absolute blast! Had to draw something for it :D

Drez was such a miserable time that I took a break from these for a while. That being said, I had a decent time with the rest. I said when I started this project that I was gonna skip Rigby but I actually had fun with him. Sometimes you just gotta draw a guy who's not young and skinny idk

Speaking of skips, I have only skipped Numisu and Wu Kong so far. Numisu cuz it's just a mask and Wu Kong cuz.. idk. I just Didn't Feel Like It🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Date Saurus, Silas, Solise, Nemora, Ira, Oden?

Saurus – I'm not a furry (is it still furry if he's a lizard?) Also men with self-esteem issues are not exactly my thing except in a few very specific cases.

Silas – I can excuse the clearly radioactive green stuff he carries around but putting brains in a jar and crafting up Frankenstein-styled bodies is where I draw the line. Also with those talons of his, he would rip all my sheets to shreds.

Solise – The only plant that survived my care was a cacti and that should tell you all you need to know about me and plants (I also had a lichi I was very proud of but we left for a vacation and it died before we came back because our housekeeper overwatered it).

Nemora – She looks like a child and her voice kind of annoys me.

Ira – Way too edgy. Feels like she would hide under the bed instead of sleeping on top of it like a normal person. May or may not steal grandma's chicken.

Oden – The whole three-eye thing creeps me out and he's not someone I would trust after what he did to his poor students.

Saurus never thought he’d lose, especially not to one so young. He was outmatched at every move, his opponent was not only faster and stronger, but clearly more skilled. A prodigy. The humiliation of so decisive a defeat weighed heavily on Saurus’ shoulders, his ego shattered, and his courage gone. He opted for exile over ignominy and set sail for far shores.

Rustport is bad for locals and a nightmare for visitors, but the last thing on the former fighter’s mind was self-preservation. A few days after entering the squalid heap of a city, his situation did manage to get worse. Saurus is one of a very rare people in Esperia and certain practitioners of arcane arts will pay a large sum for their blood, believing it to contain magical or alchemical properties. Such it was that the exile found himself in a cage. Not for something he’d done, but for something he had.

The cage sat in a soggy storehouse. The lapping of waves could be heard just outside. It was dark here, but a little light came in weakly through gaps in the boards. He heard another faint noise over the waves. A child, crying. Footsteps approached, though he couldn’t see the one who made them. Then, more clearly, a harsh voice and the creak of another cage’s door opening. There was a sharp crack as if from a whip and two figures stepped into view in the dim light, one large and one small. Saurus could tell from the man’s clothes that he was one of The Whispers, perhaps the most notorious gang of criminals in the city. So that’s who’d taken him. He had awoken here several hours ago feeling strangely groggy in a cage by the water and now he knew who to thank for it. (AFK Arena moment)
