I can't remember, but has hiccup ever been jealous? Like, I remember him gloatting when he was beating snotlout in thawfest but I can't place him ever being jealous over someone or something. Can you?

Since you specifically pointed out Thawfest, I think there is a touch of jealousy there, but not during the beating Snotlout parts, the parts prior to that. He was a envious that Snotlout won every year. Jealousy over that definitely was a motivator for his behavior in some of that episode. 

Plus, arguably some jealousy was likely a motivating factor over his behavior in HTTYD1. He wanted the status that killing a dragon would give him. That’s what he wanted. I would argue that is jealousy. 

I mean isn’t wanting to be something you’re not (to use Gobber’s words earlier in the film), a very basic form of jealousy? 

Plus... there was definite jealousy happening in HTTYD3 with how he felt about the Light Fury and Toothless. I think he is like “I don’t trust her!” or something at some point. Yeaaah, our boy is jealous. 

So, yes, Hiccup does experience jealousy. I think it’s couched in a way that doesn’t come off as jealousy, though.

Though she’s with humans now, Valka still acts more like a dragon than a human. She picked up on their ways and it’s very difficult for her to unlearn them. She’s more comfortable with dragon ways than human ways.

Legit question and want to know if I am on the right track on what you are saying. Are you saying that with out the song " For the Dancing and the Dreaming" (the song meant for Stoick and Valka only) that hiccstrid shippers won't have a major point to support their reason that Hiccstrid is a great couple?

You know a better plot twist would be if Heather was Hiccup's sister. Like stoick had to explain that both him and Valka were desperate to have a child that they got a surrogate (Heather's adoptive, but not in this case, mother). However half way through the pregnancy Valka does end up being pregnant and so they all wait to see if this one last to term and lives which it does. So too make everyone happy Heather's mom and adoptive dad keep Heather and go back to the village they are from ( they get their family) and stoick and Valka raise Hiccup.

All in all Heather is Hiccup's older half sister and that would have been interesting.

Hiccup: takes a AncestryDNA* test because why not. Hiccup: Sees Heather as a half-sister result at around 1750 centimorgans. Hiccup: Has An Only Child Crisis. 

All joking aside, it’s definitely an interesting take!

Is it a lot of work to take care of your tarantul? Because I don't know if I could handle giving them live insects which is weird because... am I said of a spider escaping and turning the house? No. Am I afraid of their weekly means escaping and roaming the house? Yes.

I would say theyre one of the more low maintenance pets. Most of the work is initial set up, and then keeping an eye on them between feedings. Making sure they have water and such, and rehousing juveniles when they outgrow their enclosures. They dont need to eat every day, for instance (how much and when to feed will vary between age and species). If the live prey thing is a dealbreaker, though, that might be a problem. Though it seems some people feed frozen thawed insects, but I don’t know much about feeding frozen thawed and I have no experience with it. I just feed live and come to terms with possible escapes. I mainly use dubia roaches, which aren’t a pest species, cant bite or climb smooth surfaces, and wont infest your house, but I’m not scared of roaches. There are other options like super worms and crickets, but for ease of care I really prefer roaches. Theres lots of resources on tarantula care out there if you’re interested in keeping and I recommend reading up a lot, and there are forums and discords where you can ask more experienced keepers advice if you have a question. 

I’m by no means an expert, I’ve only been keeping for about a year and a half, and most of my T’s have fairly similar care requirements, so here’s some sources where you can find more info!
