13) a fandom you’re thinking about writing for I've been watching The Apothecary Diaries with my spouse and I had a moment of "damn a star trek crossover with this would be crazy, Dr McCoy would FLIP out at Maomao consuming so many poisons"

17) talk about your writing and editing process I plan EVERYTHING. short oneshots, smut, long fics. I always start with an outline that's beat-by-beat everything that's going to happen. I might not stick to that outline, but I do have one always going into a fic. Editing usually looks like me doing some as I go, then doing one full read through, then handing it off to beta readers for feedback. Then if it's minor edits, I change those up and post, but if the feedback looks like it's going to mean a lot of reworking, then I spend a lot of time with it and edit that. And, if enough changes, I send those changes to my beta again until they're happy with it.

29) how easy is it for you to come up with titles? Usually pretty difficult. I keep a playlist of songs I want to use for future fic titles, but other than that it's a lot of sitting and reflecting and all the slow stuff that feels like a waste of time even though it's an essential part of the writing process, lmao

my special little guyyyyyyyyy!! it would be a huge lie to say that scott is underrated because he definitely is not lacking for page time or story attention but i definitely don’t think most writers focus on the stuff i personally find really interesting about him.

this is probably controversial even in the scott enjoyer community but the thing that made it impossible for me to be normal abt scott ever was reading the progression of new x men (2001) -> utopia era -> bendiscanny. him losing jean and then losing his community and struggling and scrabbling desperately to preserve what was left of it just to be met with violence at every turn and being pushed into a corner and making mistakes and having everyone hate him for it? well! narratively that really hits. also obviously he has autism and we love that. still. that’s a lot of situations for one guy running a military dictatorship of 200 people on an island in the san francisco bay to be dealing with. he could stand to be in fewer situations but he’s just too popular and marvel is not calling me back abt my rachel miniseries featuring scott and nathan :/

anyway i’m basically always thinking abt scott and his powers and his relationship to them and how they impact what kind of mutant activism he has chosen to prioritize and how he feels abt being a semi-visible mutant and what being made the field leader of the x men as a teenager did to him and his handful of very messy romantic relationships and why they got so messy and how xavier is his dad and his collection of various time traveling children. if you’ve never read a scott fic and would like to have complicated feelings abt him also i highly recommend this one and this one

Sorry, I kinda saw the (/Steve) as optional dressing, so I kinda had fun with it in perhaps a different way than you were thinking!

"Hey there beautiful, can I buy you a drink?"

As lips brushed against her helix, Darcy startled, only to relax a moment later as the familiarity of timbre washed over her. Arms snaked around her waist and she grinned, leaning back into a solid chest with her neck bared.

"But what about your boyfriend? Won't he mind?" she teased, tapping her cheek.

Sam pecked it obligingly, all smiles as he twirled her bar chair around and teased back, "My boyfriend doesn't mind me buying my girlfriend drinks."

Predictably, her heart stuttered as Sam leaned in. Hands pressed tight on her hips, his lips met hers in a much longer kiss that sent shivers to her toes. His shirt became scrunched where her fingers gripped it, and, unwittingly, a low moan sounded at the back of Darcy's throat. A beat later, and he pulled away, eyes twinkling knowingly as he took in the expression on her face.

"Damn," he murmured before his gaze dipped from her face to her body. His mouth curved again, eyes crinkling in pleasure. "Like the green, babe. Looks good on you."

"I'm glad you like," she replied, inclining her head coquettishly. "Thought I'd put on something nice for St. P's. I see you thought the same."

"What can I say?" he said. He stepped a little bit backwards and cocked out his hip as if posing. Darcy hmm'd appreciatively. "I like looking good for my significant others."

"Trust me," said another familiar voice. From behind them, Steve, a roguish grin on his face, stepped into view, a paper shamrock pinned to his button up. "We like you looking good."

While Steve greeted Sam with his mouth, Darcy took the time to flag down the bartender and order a round of drinks. That done, she turned back to her boyfriend and his, unsurprised when they were still locked at the mouth. She cleared her throat.

"You guys are disgustingly cute," she said as they broke apart. "Like, I need that tequila stat to wash away the sweetness, I'm going to gag."

"Hey Darcy," said Steve, looking completely unabashed except pink splotches on his cheeks that could either be from embarrassment or the heat. He gave her a hug as he bumped his cheek against hers. "Like the dress."

She blew him a kiss.

"You don't look so bad yourself, soldier. Now you two get over here, we have drinks to get through."

And without argument, they all did just that.
