Hi! So my mom is a huge crocheter and she recently helped me buy my first crochet hook and yarn! However, she is not a very good teacher, lol (I love her, but she's left handed and I'm not, and it just hasn't been working out). All that being said, do you have any recommendations for beginner crocheting resources? Like, truly Step 1: "What is Crocheting?" materials. I've been looking around on YouTube for tutorial videos, but haven't settled on one yet.
Actually, I’m better with written instructions and lots of pictures, so I just bought the cheapest “Learn how to crochet!” kit at Michael’s. It came with like five different size hooks and six patterns inside, the first being a washcloth that practiced foundation chain, single crochet, half-double crochet, double crochet, and treble crochet. I still have it. <3 (It’s ugly so I only use it as a pad when my bowl is too hot lmao.) If you’re going to do that, I suggest a cotton or wool yarn, especially if you plan to do a hot pad. Acrylic will melt.

It literally has What is Crochet? as the lead-in to the stuff you need (hook. yarn. sharp scissors.). It has detailed explanations from slip knots to weaving in ends, plus links to other tutorials like different stitches, magic ring, and granny squares. If you need more, let me know!
Ok, ok, I’m on board here - Anakin would TOTALLY be Wanda and Obi-Wan would be Vision. After Anakin becomes Vader, he creates some sort of Force Magic bubble and pulls Obi-Wan in and they act out all his favorite soap ope— *cough* holo novels. Omfg, can you imagine Obi-Wan’s inner monologue though??? “This brat killed all the Jedi, choked his wife, and has now sucked me into a pocket universe to participate in dance competitions together and adopt a tooka cat???” Also, Ahsoka shows up like Fox Quicksilver in Episode 5. Sidious sings a camp musical number in Episode 7 about how it was “Palpatine all alonggggg!”
I mean, I’ve been asking for a Sheev Musical Number for YEARS, for one thing. It’s about time Disney gave me one, especially one so jaunty. I know every last one of you can see him winking at the camera.
Anakin would do this. We all know he’s got a lineup of all his favorite shows to project Obes into.
I hope Obi-Wan gets AMAZING 70s Wolfman Hair and sideburns. Also nerd glasses and a nice suit for his Bewitched/Dick Van Dyke Show-era ensemble. Basically I am on board for the sheer Obi-Wan Paper Doll aspect of this whole thing alone, but am also good with everything else here.

I know that the physical copy comes with a free PDF copy of the book, but does that pdf include the NSFW content? Or do we need to order that separately? Thank you!

Luke didn’t know how many years had passed since he had last woken up. Too many, or so it seemed. He had always been a little different from the others, preferring to walk through the halls of his temple even when there was no great catastrophe abound. The Jedi were his home, his family, and yes, he was their Guardian, but wasn’t he also one of them, changed as he may be? When the last Knight had left his temple Luke had fallen into the longest and deepest sleep he had ever been in, right up until today. There were sentients in his temple, two of them not particularly remarkable in the Force, but the third one-
A child, a newborn who was so strong in the Force, it piqued Luke’s interest.
The two adults, their parents likely, were incredibly worried and exhausted. Luke felt no ill intent from them, only fear for themselves and beyond even that, their child. For a moment he contemplated whether he should just keep observing them, stuck in a state akin to meditation, but then his curiosity got the better of him. Centuries might have passed and Luke was lonely. There was no harm in talking to a group of travelers. It wasn’t like they could actually hurt him beyond shattering the very ground they were walking on and Luke doubted they had enough explosives on themselves to level his temple. He had already lost all his Jedi, there wasn’t much they could do to him.
He stepped from the stone pedestal he had been standing on and his robes turned into soft cotton. Unsurprisingly, little flowers had found their way into his tunics. Luke sighed, but made no effort to brush them off. He had spent a significantly large part of his childhood on a desert world and even after so many years in a jungle, he was still mesmerized by the greenery around him. He ran a hand through his hair, short and blond. His excitement must have picked a younger appearance.
Humming, Luke walked towards the direction he knew the group to be in. He tried to take his time, but he knew he was rushing towards them. It had just been too long since he had talked to anyone. He found the group near the eastern entrance, lingering around the rooms that once were an impressive archive.
He calmed and slowed somewhat when approaching them. “Hello.”
The two adults jerked. Obviously, Luke still had been too silent. The woman pulled a blaster so Luke quickly raised his hands. “I am unharmed.”
She didn’t put down the blaster until the man, who was holding onto the bright child, motioned for her to do so.
“Can I help you?” Luke asked kindly. “Not many people get lost in here.”
“I- yes.” The man exchanged a worried look with the woman. “We are here to ask you for your help. You are the Guardian of this temple, aren’t you?”
Luke blinked. He hadn’t expected anybody to still know of him or his kind.
“I am,” he replied. He saw no point to lying. “What do you seek?”
“Protection,” the woman answered, relief seeping into her voice. “For our daughter.”
Luke smiled and opened up his arms in invitation. “That’s exactly what I am here for more. My name is Luke. Who are you?”
The two humans exchanged a look.
“It’s better if you don’t know,” the man said. “We don’t- we don’t matter, she does.”
Luke stepped closer to the man, slow enough that he could stop Luke any time, but he didn’t. He was nervous, held his breath. His terror was apparent, but he wasn’t scared of Luke. Afraid for him, maybe.
“May I?” Luke asked.
The man hesitated, then he gave Luke his daughter. She was a small thing, but so warm and adorable. Luke hadn’t known how much he had missed the presence of another being until he was holding her to his chest. “What is her name?”
“Rey,” the woman answered. “Her name is Rey and we were hoping you would take her in, teach and raise her.”
That they wouldn’t be here for it was clear, even if she didn’t say so. Luke frowned and studied the pair.
“Why?”
“Because you can, because there is darkness out there in the galaxy and she needs to be safe and far away from it all. Will you protect her?”

14: Who starts the hand holding? Who grabs the others butt? Who slides their arm around their waist? Who likes to put their fingers in the belt loops?
Ok so Anakin is Very excited to start the hand holding and Padmé’s a bit more worried about being discrete so Anakin starts the hand holding. Padmé does the butt grab tho because uhhhh, that 🍑 NICE and also Anakin’s startled reaction is funny, they both like the comfort of winding an arm around the other’s waist and drawing them in to press warm and comforting against their side because they are CUDDLE BUNNIES, and Padmé likes to hook her fingers teasingly in Anakin’s belt loops and draw him in for kisses and affection (Anakin would NOT risk messing with Padmé’s outfit like that outside of a bedroom setting)
16: Who is more seductive when they are drunk? and who is louder in bed?
ASKDFKJDF OKAY THEN! I’m gonna go with Padmé, she just seems like the flirty giggly handsy sultry bedroom eyes and loose velvet tongue type when drunk as opposed to Anakin’s more dazed and just happy affectionate type. For who’s louder in bed? xD xD xD oh lord, aight so I’m gonna say right now that NEITHER of them are particularly quiet, like, they like to have a good time and when they’re alone they don’t like to hold back. However, overall I’d say Anakin; Padmé knows how to be quieter for necessity’s sake and also for when she’s planning to make a game out of it with Anakin because she knows she’ll win it, he just tends to let loose completely when he’s with someone he loves and trusts to look out for him.
27: Who orders take out at two in a morning? and who wakes the other up at three in the morning to go downstairs with them to get a glass of water because it’s too dark?
Ok, so I answered this for Obianidala, but I’d say that for Anidala? Padmé CAN cook but she also has problems remembering to feed herself because that takes time and she just has so many other things to do, so she’ll be up late working on something and then it’ll be all “oh shit it’s 2 am and I’m starving cuz I haven’t fed myself more than a granola bar today”, and she doesn’t feel like waking up Anakin so she just grabs the nearest takeout menu for a place that delivers that late. I do think also Padmé drags Anakin with her to get water at 3 because he sees in the dark better than her and also leaves stuff around for her to trip over unless he guides her there.
Hey - I saw that you purged your blog of Him, and I was wondering if you could tell me how you did that. My mass post editor doesn't work for tags going back more than a few months, and I think that XKit is still broken for mass deleting posts.
A lot of manual work. Mass+ only works well for the first 1000 posts and if you were like me, you’re probably 3x-5x more than that. Near the end, I would just do an tag search on my archive and delete them one by one. Took me 3 days, but it’s cleared my mind alot and gave me a sense of closure.
Wow. I just finished reading both installments in the Ouroboros series and I am absolutely blown away. You are quite literally a genius - some of the best fanfiction (hell, some of the best fiction, period) I have ever read. I'm going to write out a nice long review on AO3 tomorrow, but I wanted to ask if you had any updates on the next story in the series (no pressure, though! Feel free to ignore this ask if you want to!). Thanks for being such an awesome writer!
Aw, thank you! I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed Wake and Gambit; I’m very proud of them and it always makes me happy to hear people are enjoying them.
The third story in the series, All Along the Watchtower, is currently permanently on hold; I get a lot of cruel comments on Gambit and Wake and it’s put me off returning to the series at any point in the near future, especially when there are other stories I want to be writing that don’t garner those kinds of responses.
