UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

                                                                                                                                               Marshall N. C., July 13, 1865.

I, A A P Freeman, of the County of Madison, State of North Carolina, do solemnly swear or affirm, in presence of Almighty God, that I will henceforth faithfully support, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States, and the Union of the States thereunder; and that I will, in like manner, abide by and faithfully support all laws and proclamations which have been made during the existing rebellion with reference to the emancipation of slaves: So help me God.

Terry normally picked a quiet place to practice whenever playing his guitar, annoyed by the sounds of students who clearly didn’t appreciate music. His hair wasn’t very neat at the moment due to the sweat from his hat. The grounds were getting colder around this time of year but Terry braved the weather.

There was a person in front of him he stopped, pretty much taking away Terry’s already bad attention span. “Listen, I don’t do autographs unless you’re offering me food. In that case, I’ll play whatever you want.”
