Tsukista 10th Stage 『Taikyoku Denki』
The next Tsukiusta stage has been announced! Taikyoku Denki (Taiji Chuanqi) will run from January 29 to February 2, 2020 at Hulic Hall Tokyo. The cast will remain the same from the 9th Stage.
Taiji Chuanqi is Chinese, with "taiji" a form of Chinese philosophy and "chuanqi" a form of classical Chinese literature based on mystical or fantastical elements. Taikyoku Denki was Tsukista's theme for AGF 2016 and was based off of jiangshi (Chinese zombies).
If you remember, for April Fools 2018 they tweeted Taikyoku Denki would be the 6th stage play as a joke, posting a visual using illustrations from AGF (shown here as the second image). The characters on the right with the paper talismans on their hats are the "zombies."
"The play will center on the nenshou group: Kakeru, Koi, Rui, and Iku. A group of hungry prisoners meet a group of boys, become friends, strike a deal, and from there meet other prisoners and boys along the way. And... the play will have a shounen manga-type feel to it! Come and see it, by all means~"
