tadc imo is kinda middling because i do think there's not enough like character set up or focus at all - i think that a lot of its episodes has a lot of things happening that just Dont impact the characters at all. Or bring out like. ANYTHING in them or their dynamics and the fact that there are no stakes in what was supposed to be a dark comedy makes it really hard to swallow - SO. episode 8 was actually kinda fun because for Once something mattered enough to this extent BUT it's hard to feel like its believable because of. how little. anything actually seemed to matter Before this. like i feel like the characters gave up too early before this or they just kinda let themselves fall into the drone of the setting (which imo isnt a bad thing inherently but like nothing really happens to either exacerbate this or like cause contrast or like. ANYTHING) and like again a lot of the stakes of the situation is quickly undone or the fact that they don't really carry the weight of what happened in previous episodes is making this SOOO HARD FOR ME
writing this all to say, that i think caine shouldve been more of a control freak FROM THE START. I ENCOURAGE CONTROL FREAK BEHAVIOR. PLEASE. IM ON MY KNEES
