I genuinely think this fandom needs to come to terms with the fact that these vampires aren't fucking real and they don't need or want us to defend them. and if that's not why you're doing it then maybe you see your own traumas in them and you're defending yourself. either way is an unhealthy relationship with the media you're trying to enjoy.
