As yall know, I was obsessed with Hawksong and the rest of the Kiesha'ra as a kid. So when I found this write up the author did of the ahnleh, I knew I had to turn it into a tarot spread.
My Spin a Sakkri spread is good for immediate advice on a current decision or problem you're facing. The she card frames the present moment, the point of decision. o'she reveals a past point that is still influencing the present. a'she is one of many possible futures. Ahnmik illuminates that which binds you, freezes you, or perhaps stabilizes you. Anhamirak liberates, burns, and sparks change. And the Free Will card speaks to how you can impact the course of sheni, the ever-flowing line of time as it marches through Mehay.
If all of that made actual sense to you, congratulations, you're a nerd :P Come talk to me about having your own sakkri spun, and come check out all of my other spreads on my ko-fi page.

Because I am FOREVER looking for this dang post from the old nyeusigrube blog, I finally trawled through the wayback machine and found it.
Serpiente dancers wear a coin bearing the symbol Ahnleh to represent both their profession, and their spiritual allegiance. So what is Ahnleh?
At its simplest understanding, Ahnleh is Fate. More important, it is a representation of all the major powers, and of the moment when free will has the ability to alter the course of fate.
Ahnleh begins with sheni, which is time. It moves in a constant line, Namid (birth and beginnings) at the start and Brysh (death and endings) at the end. It flows from o'she, the past to a'she, the future. It is unstoppable.
Sheni crosses through the center of Mehay, that which is eternal: all that ever is, was, will be, could be, or could have been. At this intersection is she, the Now. This intersection is what is, right now, this instant. It is the only physical moment. It is Kain'Kaya, where the twins of lightning and thunder dance. She is also the only moment at which the course of Fate can be altered.
Within sheni and she are the powers of Ahnmik and Anhamirak. Ahnmik touches sheni, and moves in the general direction of the she, but is also capable of reaching in new directions, beyond even Mehay, and into Ecl: the void, that which never is, was, will be, could be, or could have been. Ahnmik here is represented by the line moving right from the base of sheni. Anhamirak's power is more potent as she moves toward a'she, after the moment of decision, and so it is shown as connected to Mehay.
Though the pantheon of Ahnleh is fully represented at this point, the symbol is missing one key component: the circle, drawn in the upper left hand side, that represents the power of free will. Though part of Mehay, free will is shown as separate due to its ability to fundamentally effect everything. It creates ripples in the powers of Ahnmik and Anhamirak, shaping the motions of Fate.
So at last we have Ahnleh:
I am a creature of immediacy, so my "favorites" of anything is always whatever I've been working on most recently XD My current spread projects are a series of nerdy ones, and my favorite of that lot has got to be the Ahnleh
As yall know, Hawksong was hugely influential to me as a kid, and so I was always lowkey obsessed with the Ahnleh, described in the books as a charm that dancers wore around their necks. When I stumbled across an actual image of the glyph the author had made, I knew I had to play with it. In the past, I've made this image into a sculpey coin I wore all the time (along with a tiny Millennium Puzzle from Yugi-oh), painted it on my dance slippers I wore to perform with my belly dance troupe, and most recently, spent several hours wrestling into a usable tarot spread to "spin sakkris" with. Yes, this makes me a huge dork and I don't care - in fact, I'm rather proud of it. Teen me would be delighted as well :P
Functionally, the spread reads a moment of decision, detailing past influences that impact the present, forces that bind you and liberate you, and a likely future outcome.

I wanted a Snakecharm "coin" necklace to represent my faith, however it's very hard to get a stamped coin necklace. I settled for getting a custom medal off Etsy. Because I'm extra, I did encapsulate the Ahnleh symbol with an Oroborous. As the cult of the Dasi was a thing around the time Egypt was founded, and the Oroborous comes from ancient Egypt, I found it fitting to encase "Fate" in "Eternity".
I used the Android Sketchbook app to mesh the two symbols together. (I did just pick a random Oroborous off Google that I thought looked especially cool, you can of course choose a different one or not include it at all.)
The medal seller was especially friendly and the shipping was quick. I am very happy to say I can now wear my Snakecharm with pride!
Here is the picture I used:

I'm a follower of Ahnleh that shares some political ideals with Thelemism and non-theistic Satanism (I am not a Thelemite or a Satanist, I am Nesera). This is a personal blog, so you may see random things on here. I'll try my best to stay consistent with posting my knitted projects and bookbindings as I finish them. Multiples of 2. Ot3. (the ones you feel apply to ot3) / Macsteph
For clarification: the OT3 being asked about is a polyamorous relationship between sole survivor Stephanie Adams (mine), MacCready, and Mojave AU Ahnleh ( @mininuked ). For some of these I’ll answer both ways, some just for MacSteph.
Under a cut for length.
2: Who sleeps in the other’s lap?Mac sleeps with his head in Stephanie’s lap when he’s super relaxed. She’ll card her fingers through his hair and scratch his head and he’ll fall right to sleep reading his comics. For OT3, Steph winds up curled in Ahn’s lap like a child on particularly bad nights.
4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway? It depends on the situation, I think. Usually, it’s Steph in full Minutemen-mode, she’s staying up late against MacCready’s advice. If they’ve just got done traveling, and are still in that mindset, Mac is still diligently on watch despite being safe and sound in Diamond City.
6: Which one reads OTP prompts and says “Oh that’s us!” and which one goes “Eh, not really”?“Oh, that’s us!” is Steph, leaning over RJs shoulder with an arm around him. Mac doesn’t say it aloud, but he does give her a skeptical look.
8: Which one spends all day running errands and which one says “You remembered [thing], right?”Neither, really. Any errands they run are done so together.
10: Which one does the posing while the other one draws? It’s more doodling, but Mac draws Stephanie. It’s not really posing, either. Lots of sketchy Stephs doing mundane things, drawn when the moment struck.
12: Which one of your OTP overdoes it on the alcohol and which one makes the other stop drinking?MacCready overdoes it and Steph cuts him off. They spend plenty of easy nights at the Dugout, and RJ is a little too easily influenced by the Bobrov brothers.
14: Which one keeps accidentally using the other’s last name instead of their own? It’s more a case of RJ referring to Stephanie with his last name. The first time it happened all the color drained from her face, and later at the Dugout Vadim was more than happy to push the idea of marriage, “to make an honest woman out of Miss Adams.”
16: Which one gives the other their jacket?Probably Steph giving her coat to MacCready, because let’s be honest: Mac’s duster is not keeping anyone warm, and Stephanie wears the Minutemen general’s coat. Wool.
18: Who’s the first one to admit they have feelings for the other?Steph catches the feels first, and sort of blurts it out (very much like the romance affinity talk goes.)For OT3, MacSteph have a deep conversation about how they feel about Ahn, but Ahn is the first to verbalize how she feels to them.
20: Which one types with perfect grammar and which one types using numbers as letters? Both type pretty well! Stephanie has had perfect grammar ingrained in her muscle memory. RJ, I imagine, was sort of self-taught. We know that Little Lamplight had something resembling school. It also a personal headcanon that MacCready is a bit of a perfectionist, so any typing he may do is going to be flawless. Lots of crumpled papers because he had to start over.
22: Who makes the bad puns and who makes a pained smile every time the other makes a pun?Mac makes the puns, Stephanie is less than enthused by them. For OT3, both Mac and Ahn make awful puns and don’t know when to stop, Steph claims that she isn’t having sex with anyone that night if they don’t quit.
24: Which one gives the other a piggyback ride when they’re tired?Depends on who’s tired and whereabouts they are.
26: Who takes a selfie when the other one falls asleep on their shoulder?Steph, hands down, for both MacSteph and the OT3.
28: Which one owns a pet that the other is absolutely terrified of?MacSteph? Neither. Mac enjoys Dogmeats company, and once Duncan enters the picture, that boy is Dogs. OT3, however? Back home in the Mojave, Ahn has a gecko, named Geek. Steph doesn’t mind him so much, but MacCready is not fan. 30: If your OTP went on vacation, where would they go and what would they do? Who would take the pictures? The OT3 spend some time in the Mojave before coming involved with one another. They trek across the country (fairly uneventfully) and spend time with Ahn’s family. The camera is passed around between the three and Ahn’s family. MacSteph make the trip to the Capitol Wasteland, more on a mission to retrieve Duncan than a vacation. They spend a comfortable couple months abroad.
