Art Commissioner Rec??

I really want a full-body art piece or two for my self-insert Kiesha'Ra OC, and I *could* draw it myself but my artstyle is very similar to 90s Disney... I want something closer to Voltron Legendary Defender artstyle or maybe closer to Canis Albus? (I don't think they draw people). I need someone with capabilities to draw humans, stylised clothing, and wings.

I have the character perfectly imagined in my brain, can supply a moodboard/ideas. I just can't draw people very well haha. I'm definitely better at crafty-style art.

The Starless Sea Bookbinding Project 🐝🗝🗡🫀👑🪶

I'm going to buy a paperback version of the Starless Sea and take it apart.

Book covers for Sweet Sorrows and Fortunes and Fables will be handmade.

My Sweet Sorrows will be a "newer" edition, meaning I won't try to make it look worn like it is described in the Starless Sea. I'm going to use burgundy book cloth and cardboard, and make gilded title lettering, but leave the pages regular.

For Fortunes and Fables, I'm going to do a cardboard and leather, more traditionally hardcover style cover and add gilding to the pages.

For my edition of the Ballad of Simon and Eleanor, I'm going to take a PDF of it and edit it to a handwritten-looking font, then print accordingly. I'll do a floppy cover from dark blue leather, gild the pages, and hand-write a title page in cursive to give it a more "real" handwritten feel.

For the "written in the stars" pieces, I'll make precice tears from my paperback Starless Sea and fold them into little stars.

This is going to take a while, as I just moved and have to re-set up my art office, but I'll post pictures here as I finish each one!

UPDATE 1: 2-14-26

Okay! So! Sorry, no pictures this time. Just got the desk all configurated, and I can finally start working on bookbinding projects.

Here is the current plan:

For "Sweet Sorrows" and "Fortunes and Fables" I may have to re-bind the signatures, based on how I cut them out of my paperback "Starless Sea". If I do, I'll be using a simple French Link and Kettle stitch method. Backings will be Mull fabric, and endbands will be hand-sewn old school. I'm doing burgundy and white for "Sweet Sorrows" and as close a colour match to my pleather for the "Fortunes and Fables" cover. Endpapers will be long-grain 120 cardstock, burgundy and brown respectively.

For guilding, I'll be using a Couture Creations heat foil pen, gold foil from KellyFoils off Etsy, and borrowing a heat stamp-press (idk the brand) from my uncle.

I hope to start working on my typeset for "the Ballad of Simon and Eleanor" soon, but it's gonna take time because I kind of have a life. For the textblock and cover binding, I'll be doing a long stitch binding with link stitch variation. This book won't have endpapers.

Lestat in PRINCE LESTAT AND THE REALMS OF ATLANTIS

This is the first scarf I ever knitted. It's a garter stitch all the way through, and some tassel knots for the fringe. I accidentally made it way too short, so it's child-sized. I used a black yarn with white tinsel, so it looks sparkly without getting glitter on you. I made it black and white as a compliment to the book "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern.

Regardless of the size, I do think it's beautiful. If anybody wants it for their kid, or just someone small, feel free to DM me! I'll give it for free.

First-Year Hufflepuff Scarf

I made this scarf for my younger cousin. It was my first 2-colour scarf, so it wasn't the best. I just did a repeating Knit, Purl, Knit, Purl pattern. I don't really like the bind-off, so I'll be using a different method for all my future scarves.

How I got my Snakecharm

I wanted a Snakecharm "coin" necklace to represent my faith, however it's very hard to get a stamped coin necklace. I settled for getting a custom medal off Etsy. Because I'm extra, I did encapsulate the Ahnleh symbol with an Oroborous. As the cult of the Dasi was a thing around the time Egypt was founded, and the Oroborous comes from ancient Egypt, I found it fitting to encase "Fate" in "Eternity".

I used the Android Sketchbook app to mesh the two symbols together. (I did just pick a random Oroborous off Google that I thought looked especially cool, you can of course choose a different one or not include it at all.)

The medal seller was especially friendly and the shipping was quick. I am very happy to say I can now wear my Snakecharm with pride!

I've taken this post, reread the books in total, and done some of my own translating. I will include a Google Drive link to my translations and studies of Ahnleh, so that others may join in the practice of Nesera. I am still working on the doc, so check back often for updates.
