Spin a sakkri spread
As yall know, I was obsessed with Hawksong and the rest of the Kiesha'ra as a kid. So when I found this write up the author did of the ahnleh, I knew I had to turn it into a tarot spread.
My Spin a Sakkri spread is good for immediate advice on a current decision or problem you're facing. The she card frames the present moment, the point of decision. o'she reveals a past point that is still influencing the present. a'she is one of many possible futures. Ahnmik illuminates that which binds you, freezes you, or perhaps stabilizes you. Anhamirak liberates, burns, and sparks change. And the Free Will card speaks to how you can impact the course of sheni, the ever-flowing line of time as it marches through Mehay.
If all of that made actual sense to you, congratulations, you're a nerd :P Come talk to me about having your own sakkri spun, and come check out all of my other spreads on my ko-fi page.

These were my first wrap covers. I absolutely love them so much. These books were my absolute favorites in high school so I had to rebind them <3

These are good! Look at all this politicking between vastly different courts.
I do think the author has a preference for the serpiente court & people. Most of the book happens in the serpiente court. At the end of Snakecharm, they let Danica's mother the former Tuuli Thea be the one to tell the avians about their plans for a new court, and they do all the initial planning in the serpiente court.
But also they're acknowledging that if Danica's mom has a child, that's both good and bad for them and for their dream of a new court.
Anyway, it's fun and they're short easy books to read.
I’ve been dying to draw these two since I started re-reading the Kiesha’ra book series!

A new book means time for a new post, I think!
My Kiesha’ra fanfiction Crowform follows the narrative of Hawksong and Snakecharm by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes (with a few minor changes coming up in Snakecharm) from the point of view of the character known as Andreios.
Heads up - this fic has MAJOR spoilers for Snakecharm. Chapter 18 of the fic - which picks up where Snakecharm begins - is up now!
“There is no place for shame, Danica. If Anhamirak had not wanted beauty to be admired, she would not have made our eyes desire it. You are art.”
