AI USER ALERT: QUOTEV USER/CLEMEIENTENE AKA 'MIEN'
Hello all—Miro here. I am the main admin of The AI Tracer blog, a blog where we determine if those accused are using AI and claiming it as there own. Today, we look into Quotev user URL clemeientene, who goes by mien. We have had multiple reports about them using AI—but are they?
IS IT AI?: IT IS. Let's take a deep dive. How do we know this?
Let's take a deep dive.
BOLDING AND STYLE INCONSISTENCIES
Here is a screenshot of their story 'BLEACH X BLOOD'. See how random words are bolded? This is hugely used with ChatGPT and other AI platforms. The style is oddly inconsistent with random bolding, overusage of underlines and changing the fonts or styles. It's an immediate red flag indicator. These random boldings and style changes are in all of their stories, indicative of AI usage.
This is a screenshot from THE OFFICE, and the below is their 'author's note' on EYE CONTACT as well as an excerpt from EYE CONTACT with odd line spacing inconsistencies.
2. UPDATING FREQUENCY AND AMOUNTS
This one isn't always set in stone. As a fanfic writer myself, I love to prewrite chapters so I can keep everything on a weekly schedule. However, there is a limit where it become suspicious.
Again, this isn't a clear indicator, but posting frequency does indicate to AI usage.
3. TONES
There are a few ways to tell if AI wrote something. Redundancy is one of them—the over-explaining of simple things (see what I did there?). Over-explaining everything in AI fics happens a lot.
Another thing is things making no sense. How was a character across the room, crossing his arms, and then next moment holding somebody bridal style? That's a whole scene skip, what happened between?! Let's look at some excerpts from BLEACH X BLOOD.
It's like the easiest mode of 'Where's Waldo?'. Can you spot the AI? Here's how their style is in EYE CONTACT.
4. USER INPUT
Somebody not affiliated with this blog was suspicious of Mien and brought it to my attention—multiple people have been suspicious. This was brought to my attention by about seven separate people, which is why I think it was a good idea to dive into Mien's works first.
So my verdict? Mien is using AI and claiming it as their own writing, a punishable offense in fandom spaces.
bullying people who use AI has become one of my new favourite hobbies. "owhh but that makes you a mean person!!" surely i'm a good person for preventing the harm of our planet, job market, morals, and society? it's good to bully AI users! :)
I don't like doing stuff like this, but I'd like everyone to be aware of this shockingly popular seller on Etsy, "DigitalBozzyman" that very clearly used AI to create the commission I paid almost $100 USD for ($97.69 was the total). The image shown is the only one I received, after which I called him out and was told he uses "some" AI. Etsy requires that sellers disclose use of AI, and he has been reported, but given that has a highly rated shop, I sincerely doubt anything will be done, so I'm just warning people here instead.
The fact that all these talentless losers are telling artists to get over it because they're upset about AI art stealing their work is hilarious. Do you people not realize how hurtful it is to see your art get stolen from you and people are making money off of it? This is why I was having this battle with myself for a long time debating on whether I should post some of my work or not. I'm not even sure what the art community could do at this post to keep their shit secure. Really goes to show how people don't respect actual artists today.
