Aidah is an eco-feminist and photographer. For her photo essay Places We Can Be she photographed her African friends who identify as LGBTQ+ ‘expressing freedom, play and love in a political environment that is criminalising the existence and expression of queerness’. Her photos are taken among nature, which she describes as providing ‘a playground’ where no one is policed or judged.

82.  Does anyone make them have butterflies in their stomach? Are you sure you want me to open this Pandora’s box w Jokes aside, yes!!!!! Aidah’s super close with Epel, and they’re pretty close what with being in the same class, being low key gremlins, and being able to trust each other pretty quick...  Eventually Aidah finds herself seeking him out more and more, unconsciously almost. She tries not to get too stiff and awkward when they do they things they’ve always done, like leaning on each other while working and stuff..

4.  Do they like cuddling? Yes, Definitely, Absolutely. Aidah is A-OK with cuddling, in fact, if you’re close enough to her, she’s just going to latch onto you absentmindedly, hugging you as you do your homework or something

5.  Do they have a secret handshake with anyone? She has one with her younger sister (who I also have plans to enroll in NRC, so she’s definitely on the OC list), and she has one with Epel and Jack! (classmates, and somewhat of a three braincell squad of their own) ...I say Epel and Jack, but honestly, Jack probably just gets confused about some steps in it, so the other two keep teaching him until he gets it

66.  Do they like glowsticks? Huh... they probably take some getting used to on her part? She just thinks they’re Neat, but she might secretly think that natural light is better
