      She’d been sitting at the cafe poking at her tea for the last ten minutes as she stared at her empty composition book. Atwood was sleeping peacefully on her feet. Birds were singing. It was a lovely day. Her mood had been wonderful. 

      And still, the music didn’t come. 

      You should have left well enough alone, Clarke. Why did you try?

      When she’d sacrificed her music to save her friends, she hadn’t thought she was also trading her ability to create it. She could have lived never playing another note if she could have at least written them --

      A shadow fell across her. Clarke looked up, blinking at the stranger who had taken the chair opposite her. 

     “Um. Yes?” There was a faint chill in the air she hadn’t noticed before.

some royal family au headcanons for y’all, since zeus is a very different person in this au.

regarding his siblings: he adores ALL of them, and looks up to them a lot.  hades most of all, however -- he wants to be a prince just like him, wants to be as strong and smart and rule a kingdom just like hades will --- but he’s told to keep his mouth shut about all of that.   i think he’s closest with demeter and hades, though -- he trails after hades, and spends lots of time playing / training / exploring with demeter.  he’s also close with hestia, just not as dependant on her int his verse as he is normally.

he’s pretty carefree??  he’s not concerned with conquering a kingdom, or ruling, or having any real responsibility at all.  he can be a little cocky around lesser people in the kingdom, still that familiar zeus we all know and love -- but around his superiors, he becomes very quiet, reserved, and careful, because of his father.

he’s also quite the flirt when he grows older, unabashedly so.  there’s no real tact to it like he has normally, he just does it at every turn.  this being said, i think he was a virgin for considerably longer than he was in main verse.

he’s very dutiful in his lessons, considering he’s taught by very valued members of the kingdom and wouldn’t dare disrespect them; but he also has a thirst for knowledge, as per usual -- he wants to be like hades, remember?  he just doesn’t want to BE in hades’ shoes.  the idea of a kingdom is appealing to him for about three seconds until he remembers all the work he’d have to do / all the freedom he would lose.

he’s excellent with a sword, and has shown prowess in his control over lightning -- but that’s something he’s had to practice very minimally so as not to seem threatening to his father.

Royal Family AU Head Canons

She’s a lot more sassy than she is mean or cruel

She probably becomes very close to Aphrodite, especially when she is older, and works closely with her.

She is a very protective older sister toward Zeus, against other people and against their father. She’s always trying to find ways to cheer him up when Kronos pushes him away.

She and Poseidon (still) are snarky brats toward each other. Hera and Hades get along v very well and spend a lot of time together. Hestia spoils Hera and Hera loves her older sister and looks up to her. Sometimes Hestia is the only one Hera would listen to. Hera and Demeter probably have a friendly sibling rivalry going on and try to outdo and one-up each other all the time.

Prometheus is not her first romantic or sexual partner- she was interested in sex before her and Prometheus started anything. But he is her last.

Hera adores Aphrodite and actually has a huge crush on her. She probably goes to her for advice and it’s quite likely that Aphrodite was one of her first sexual experiences.When she’s older and comes into her role as a goddess, she works closely with her.

Hera has a close bond with Hekate and is fascinated by her magic. She has a big of a crush on Hekate as she does Aphrodite (and as she does in the main verse).

         anath strolls in, casual as ever, and observes hades quietly for a moment. a soft sigh on her lips and she found herself shaking her head just barely. “i see business is good.” she stats as she watches a few customers leave with bouquets and receipts, not that she’s surprised. people love buying flowers for some strange reason. stepping up the counter she places a bag atop it and slides it over in the other’s direction. “something for the dogs.” she explains simply. they both know she’s there for a reason, clearly something is weighing heavy on her mind.
