𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕴𝖉𝖔𝖑 𝖆𝖓𝖉 𝕿𝖍𝖊 𝕯𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖓𝖖𝖚𝖊𝖓𝖙

I was prompted to draw this because I feel so plagued by The Main Love Triangle ™ that I've been wanting to explore other dynamics in Vampire Knight. I really adore the relationship between Hanabusa and Zero. Their rivalry is so fun and their reluctant respect for each other and eventual friendship is so interesting. Aidou's facade of being a confident bratty flirt, while truly being the sensitive, intelligent inquisitor-- is such a wonderful foil to Zero's facade of being a grumpy, violent delinquent while truly being the kind, gentle knight-in-shining-armor. Plus the shenanigans of Hanabusa drawing Zero and then scribbling it out (we all know Hana has a crush on each of the main three at one point or another), Zero chasing after him with rope to then make him dinner, and the iconic scene of them in the hunter-mobile folding their arms and glaring at each other while secretly having a heart to heart. They mean so much to me ♥

Okay but we mentioned the eventual progression of the bromance of Aidou and Zero but I LOVED the stupid banter they had before that too LOL. I like characters that make normally serious ones do funny shit (aka Zero SPRINTING after this man). AND HE DOESN'T EVEN CATCH HIM LMFAO.

Aidou, are you secretly REALLY athletic or is this just a byproduct of being a noble with a bit more vampirism in you than Zero??

The zero moment was kind of adorable cuz I think he basically made peace about Kaname and forgave him. He was able to joke around that when he sees him he’ll punch him. That’s pretty much their dynamic free of the drama Lmaoo. I liked how that was wrapped up I would have preferred it was done like this since the original series but I guess it’s to show process. I think the art was a little bit better this chapter than recent chapters
