Maquia: when the promised flower blooms - General Isol (I can't find a gif about him anywhere, sorry. So...for me this character is very interesting. I know that he is one of the "bad guys" but I think there is something more. We can see that from the beginning he becomes affectionate with Leila and I think that little by little he regretted what he did. I really wanted to see something more about him. I think that it's a shame that the plot doesn't focus more on him.)

Say I Love You

I had to write an essay for a class that required me to explain the kind of person I am through a quote from a fictional writer so ofcourse being the nerd I am, I used one from one of my favorite Mangas/Animes…so here it is!

“But there’s nothing wrong to worrying. It’s like a wall you need to overcome, to make it to the next level. If you’re running up against the wall, it means you’re moving forward. I wonder how many walls I’ve broken up until now, but if you won’t move yourself, you will never get anywhere” (Kanae Hazuki).

I chose this quote from one of my favorite Mangas that I have read a lot through high school. The Manga is called “Say I Love You”, and it is about a girl, Mei tachibana, who growing up refuses to make any friends or have a boyfriend because of an incident that happened to her as a kid, and it left her believing that everyone would betray each other sooner or later. A guy who is popular at her school ends up being interested in her and starts a relationship with her. Throughout this entire series you see Mei and various characters grow and become friends with one another and they of course end up happy.

The character that says the quote above, within the series goes by the name of Aiko Muto. She isn’t one of my favorite characters but she is one of the characters that grows a lot throughout the series. She disliked Mei a lot at the very beginning of the story because Mei started dating the one guy she liked, Yamato. She is very bad mouthed and she even gives Mei the wrong idea on Yamato but when Mei stands up for her she learns to accept Mei as a friend and even becomes one of her best friends.

I relate a lot to her and Mei a lot as characters. Aiko is a very self conscious person who use to be overweight that felt like she wasn’t “beautiful” in the eyes of herself and others but she gained courage and confidence when Yamato told her she was beautiful the way she was. Her quote is a very strong one because she couldn’t have got where she was in the story without motivating herself and not giving up and that is something I go by. I don’t think I will succeed and ever reach the goals in life that I want to unless I keep going and I don’t give up.  If there is something I dislike when it comes to my outlook or self being I have to be the person that puts in the effort to change that. I believe I can’t be happy unless I do my best in everything that i can possibly do, to make myself happy.

I am the kind of person that won’t give up on anything. I am determined and very serious about the things I love and that I believe in and not a lot of people get that about me because of my bubbly, quiet and weird personality. I may have some insecurities like everyone else does but I am continuing to try and overcome them. This is one of the main reasons why I love this story because it is so relatable to everyone and it shoes such great development through the characters and it just pushes me to break down more walls as I continue my path in life.

That was all I wrote in my essay, I did not check on my grammar but I honestly really enjoyed doing this for my class, I hope you all liked it as well!!!

Day 4 - Favorite female anime character of all time

HERE IS MY FAVORITEE~

Aiko FREAKING Muto

I'm not gonna lie, Mei Tachibana is one of the greatest female protagonists that I've ever come across. She's got ridiculously amazing quotes all over tumblr and has a personality that's not as passive as many other female anime characters out there.

But even so, I prefer Aiko more.

First of all, she's got sexy quotes all over tumblr as well. And tbh, I hated her at first because I thought she was going to sink my ship (MeixYamato ftw!) But in the end she SAVED MY SINKING SHIP<3 The fact she saved a ship that she wanted to originally sink made me really happy :)

AAAAND also, I love how she speaks her mind and just naturally knows what's right! She's like one of those people where if you befriend them, you know you've made one of the greatest decisions in your life.

And her weight loss story is quite inspirational in itself, even if she's a fictional character~
