Ailla’s death and Koschei’s reaction (The Dark Path 1997 by David A. McIntee)
me: why can’t you write for well known characters ? me (sees a character that had a small part in a book but basically is the reason for koschei becoming the master) ailla was an agent of the Celestial Intervention Agency who was sent to spy on the Master while he was still known as Koschei. She disguised herself as a human from the 28th century and became his companion. her i wanna write her.

So, I wrote an origin story on how Koschei and Ailla first met. Expect more soon! It’s a series.

Ailla, newly regenerated, revealing herself as CIA sent to observe Koschei (The Dark Path by David A. McIntee)
Okay, so I think it’s very interesting that when the Doctor first met Ailla, that they both immediately recognized each other as Time Lords. But Koschei, who has been traveling with Ailla for who knows how long, can’t recognize she is a Time Lord, even despite her giving him a story that she is a human when they first met.
My only explanations for this are: 1. Ailla is shielding her true self from Koschei, but not the Doctor, or, 2. The Doctor’s origins as the Other have something to do with him being able to outsmart his friend and see his companion for who she really is while he can’t?
I honestly don’t think the Master is an idiot, especially in this regard, so I’m going with explanation 1 on this.
Ailla and Koschei make their first appearances! 😱
