This is the Wahl-Eversharp Air Lite Burma and Silver Pearl fountain pen c. 1939-1940. This five inch long pen is model 6859R and sold for $2.75 and the matching pencil was $1.75 in 1939. Together as a set, they were $3.95. Colors offered were Jet Black, Burma and Silver Pearl (also called Gunmetal), and Green and Silver Pearl pyralin. Eversharp called the trim “silvery,” so it’s not clear what the plating is. The clip top is stamped MADE IN USA and the face is stamped EVERSHARP. This example shows typical plating loss on the clips and cap bands. These five inch long pens are lever fillers with ink-view window sections and 14 karat gold nibs in many grades. This example has a very stiff MANIFOLD marked nib.
