 Xander is a hunky nerd and his business is to get revenge and makes things right for those who have been harmed. He has been trained by the best and has a small group he is close to although he doesn’t see them often. The book begins with him doing what he does best before hightailing it off the premises before having to deal with authorities. Shortly thereafter he is contacted by one of his friends about the death of their mentor, given a funeral time and told to notify Charlie – a woman he has not seen for a decade but has always cared for. There is a relationship to cement, bad guys to deal with, a funeral, meeting up with old friends and more in this thrilling suspense-filled romance that ends with HEA. I liked all of the characters, kept reading without stop and now want to know about Adder – who did not appear in this story – and wonder how he is doing. I also want to hear more about Trey and hope to hear more about him in book three.

Charlie is older than Xander by two years and, prior to his reappearance in her life, she always considered him a geeky version of a kid brother. Xander is taller than Charlie by nearly a foot and is prepared to do whatever it takes to get out of the friend zone.

You may need to keep a tissue handy during certain parts of DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS. During others, you will most certainly need a padded chair to cushion the edge of your seat. Trust me on this.

DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS ends right where it should. But there is a very good chance readers will want to know what happens next.

All the characters that readers have fallen in love with in DIRTY DEEDS—book one in this series—make an appearance in DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS. Yes, including Mocha. And yes, he’s every bit as funny.

By parties who have asked to remain anonymous, Xander Dade has been compared to “Captain America on steroids.” He has a voracious appetite for sex and prefers his women curvy with an extra side of curves. Without question, he is also the biggest dork I’ve ever written. Super dork, this guy. Epic dork.

There isn’t a lock known to man that Charlie McGovern can’t pick. She also moves without sound. Unless you’re itching for trouble, you may wanna think twice before ticking her off.

Xander does not drink alcohol, caffeine, smoke or do drugs of any kind—ever. Discounting his persistent habit of chewing Altoids, his addictive personality has one fix.

In DIRTY DEEDS, the heroine, Eden Smith, keeps a secret until the very end of the book. Because I am an evil author who likes to keep my readers guessing, Xander does the same thing in DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS.

Five Dirty Little Secrets about DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS from author AJ Nuest:

At its core, DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS is a friends-to-lovers romance, with a nail-biting revenge element as well as tons of suspense. There’s also action, crime drama…oh, and a tip toward taking on the pharmaceutical industry with a group of FBI Agents who may or may not be trusted. Still unclear at this point.

Both the hero and heroine in DIRTY LITTLE SECRETS are broken. I’m talkin’ in ways that ain’t never gonna get fixed. Apart, they make less sense than zero. Together, they add up to one.

The hero, Xander Dade, is a computer hacker with an IQ that’s so far off the charts it can’t be measured. This made him a blast to write and, quite honestly, a little terrifying.

The heroine, Charlie McGovern, is a full-time thief who struggles with her weight. She knows all the pressure points in the human body. Sarcasm is her superpower.

In the close to 5.8 billion times I’ve read the “bathroom scene” (ßno idea where Charlie gets her sarcasm), I’ve yet to recover from what Xander does to her in that little room. Not sure I ever will.
