Urban Planning

Good evening.Now I wrote something in my other blog earlier so I am going to write in this one.I was at the gym hoping to find anything related to real estate but I couldn’t find much of anything.So I gave up on that but I will talk about something in this blog which has hit my mind.Now all day I have been watching some videos of the Mayor Of Compton Aja Brown so I can find out a little bit about her since she is not only a politician but also an urban planner.And that is the bulk of what this entry is going to be about.It is about urban planning and what effect it has on a country.Now I will try my test to talk about it even though I have no real knowledge of the topic. 

Now even though I have no real knowledge of the topic, I will say this though.Urban planners are often needed in a majority of cases because they are the one who strum up plans as to how cities are going to be built and the type of buildings they have.So in a way they are part of the construction process but from a macro level.I made the assumptions that architects were the ones who built cities and not only buildings.But its the urban planners that deal with the responsibility.Architects only deal with buildings whether they’re commercial or residential while urban planners with the same too but mainly with the whole city or land they use to build the city with.

So, I think that Ms Brown will succeed in rebuilding and building Compton because from what I have heard,the city is in need of a serious rebuild.But not only a rebuild but community involvement because buildings can only take a community so far. But people have to do their share in keep the gangs,violence and drugs out of their neighborhoods.But getting back to Ms Brown,she was educated in urban planning at USC School Of Public Policy and I think they deal with urban planning.So in a way I think she has the city headed in the right direction.

Okay, now since I am not working and have so much time on my hands what am I going to talk about right now?Well not a whole lot since I am not working and when I write I usually talk about things that are related to the job I am doing right now and that is working at the gas bar.But today on my last day off I am going to make an exception.I want to talk about some newspaper and a mayor that I ran into while following an athlete on Twitter.The newspaper is Los Angeles Sentinel and the Mayor of Compton Aja Brown. 

The first topic will be about the Los Angeles Sentinel since I happen to run into their YouTube channel.I just bookmarked their channel and their website and I will keep reading the newspaper so I can stay up to date as to what is going on in the black community in Los Angeles since all I am seeing is Los Angeles and the people living in it.Rarely talked about is the African American community in Los Angeles and other cities in the USA which have large black populations. Now I know that it is going to sound crazy and I am neglecting black people in  other countries but since my heart is set in the United States especially in states like California, it is best that I put my focus on California and the United States.

Which brings me to this mayor that I am going to talk about now.The mayor of Compton,California is Aja Brown. And for some reason I am not able to stop thinking about her and the City of Compton since it is a gang infested city with a lot of crime,drugs and violence. I always knew that there was someone who can save the city and that’s her.Now she just got elected not too long ago.So it will be interesting to see what she does for the city and whether or not she will be able to keep the gangs out of her city.Also the drugs too since in most black communities drugs are a big issue and when unemployment and education are down people are always going to find ways to sell and consume drugs.But so far from watching videos of her,Mrs Brown seems to be doing a good job for the city especially at a young age since she is only in her early 30′s.
