This one goes out to that feeling of discovery. You know when you go to a show for one band and end up coming home knowing that one of the others on the bill is your new favorite. Case in point - in December of 2001, went to see Rival Schools at the Meow Meow here in Portland and was BLOWN AWAY by the Hives. Rival Schools was good, I mean who doesn’t love some Walter. Schreifels? I knew the Hives first three records already, but they weren’t on the list of must listens. But once they came out on stage, it was over.
