“The Great Headphones”AKG K240

I have been using these headphones for the past 4 months and I think they are absolutely outstanding. As someone who normally just wears those cheap earbuds to get me through the day. I really enjoy when I have the time to sit down and actually listen to all of the amazing vocals and instruments heard through these. The music I listen to normally in the car, in my earbuds, or through the speakers of my laptop do not compare to the clearness these headphones give to the music. I think it's insane how these headphones do not even compare to the other ones I find around Capital University, these are just the best. Most of the headphones around Capital are closed-back so that may make a difference. I have not played with the other version of these which is a closed back pair of headphones but I would not be surprised if they were just as great AKG is a great brand.

The AKG K240 headphones will give the clearest sound to anything you listen to in them. When you listen to music in general you find times where you really decide to focus on one of the individual instruments. The vocals are really the main thing you always listen to, try to dig a little deeper into the music, it's like just staring at the cover of a book... open the book! Listen to the kick's thump and the reverb on the snare drum, or the flow of the tom drums quick entrance and exit. These headphones really help you to hear all of that, I think they would be a great addition to anyone who listens to music.

The only problem you would encounter is that they are open back, not like you would buy those and wear them around to listen to your music on your phone. If you were to use them in a public space you would not get a great result compared to sitting in a confined space.

AKG K240's are my favorite headphones for mixing/editing & recording! They are very comfortable for long mixing & tracking sessions & they are great for A/B-ing mixes. They are semi open, so not great for loud places, but if you need to mix/edit without bothering anyone, these are great. I use them for tracking, too, but because they are semi open, they do bleed a little. (Nothing a gate VST can't fix though!) gonna record/edit/mix some new music right now!!!
