The thundering sound of ceramite boots echoed down the hall, heralding the approach of Reaver. Still clad in his full Black Legion armour, donning his helm and making to the unusual nature of the situation, his strides exuded an aura of indifference and beckoned all around to avoid his path. 

The serf trailed behind, desperate to not be away from his proximity, knowing what might happen when the purpose of their arrival is made manifest. She carried along the astartes’ bolter while his chainaxe was hung limply at his hip.

There was a distant look in his eyes. His voice was similarly distant but felt unprecedentedly unprofessional for the Everchosen. “I want to see what you’d do to me when you’re in control.”

He caught himself with his last word and surprise in his eyes as he directed his gaze to Akhen. A soft pink started to flush his cheeks. “I think that was Shaski.” There was a nervous chuckle at his own lie. “She likes to have that sort of fun.”
