Teach Me To Sin

          History is first period after lunch, and Rose leans back in her seat and watches as the rest of the students file into the classroom with haggard looks on their faces. Who liked History?                                                    Nobody.          Well, besides Suanne, but she was an exception. Genius at everything, she was. In Rose's opinion, having a History lesson straight after lunch was a waste-- nobody was going to pay attention, and especially not since the teacher was going to be new. A nudge from her mate Shareen pulls her out of her thoughts, and with a jolt, the blonde realises that he's here. Young, but not young enough to be a student.           "You're the new History teacher then?" She calls out, resting her elbows on the table as she leans forward. "Bit young." There's a hint of disbelief in her tone, and it's not completely wrong-- the school was full of older teachers who were, to put it plainly, boring.

Cabin Fever | Unexpected Encounters

            ❝Are you sure you don't want me to join you over there? I don't know if it's good for you to be alone, right now.❞ Her friend insisted on the other side of the phone and Elena sighed heavily for the hundredth time during their conversation. Her tenacity was admirable. ❝It's not like I'm moving out here forever. I just want some time alone–––to think and maybe forget about all this mess.❞ She responded as she dragged her last suitcase to the living room after shaking off the remains of snow that lingered on her clothes. 

        ❝Besides I'm homeless, remember? I need to look for a place now that you-know-who did what he did and this place is nice and very far away so it's perfect.❞

           Elena wasn't sure if she was trying to convince her friend or herself in that moment. Her decision to leave town had been final. And though she knew she wasn't fooling anyone by 'running away', she also knew that it would be impossible to be near that city for a while. Not when it brought not-so-pleasant memories. She closed her eyes and let a long breath fall from her lips. ❝Look, I promise not to disappear. I'll be fine, thank you for letting me stay here, by the way. It's a beautiful place and if I need anything I'll just call the hotel service, okay?❞ Elena reassured one last time, and despite the few more protests that came from the other line, she finally managed to calm her and finished the call with a satisfied smile.

        Unfortunately, that smile didn't last long enough. As soon as she moved to look outside the window and noticed how secluded the place was, the weight of her previous words backfired on her. She really was alone–––for the first time in years, and she still wasn't sure if she felt so good about it. Brushing those thoughts off, Elena opted to find a way to distract herself. After the long trip, her best choice was to take a long bath in the master bathroom before having dinner later that night.  

      Moments later after she stepped out of bathtub, a strange sound coming from living room caught her off guard.  Frowning with concern, she decided to tip-toe outside to find out if it was only branch falling for the trees nearby. However, when she heard the front door being opened she froze in her place and pressed her back to the wall. ❝W-Who's there?❞ She called from there, enveloping the plush towel around her body.

                                                  ❝–––Hello?❞
