The day would go by, then it suddenly hits me - my father is no longer alive. No longer will call me at 5:30pm on the dot to see if i got out of work, I can’t call him at 1:00pm to check to see if he ate, how he was feeling...my father was too nice to me, too kind to me, and he believed in me. He told me I was his mother. And it sure made me happy! My father just knew how to give my family comfort in distress. Our home once filled with loud voices is now very quiet. Abba isn’t there to talk and neither am I since I got married. We won’t ever have anyone saying its family decision time, we will never be the same again. I don’t think I am happy at this moment even though I pretend to be happy. I eat whatever I feel like eating even though i am gaining weight. It makes me feel less sad I guess. I am miserable tbh. Sometimes I am all sane and sometimes i feel insane. How could my precious father just go....feels like he fought to be part of my wedding day and right after he began going in and out of the hospital till he stayed for 3.5 months till his last breath. I love you abba, you’ll always be my heart. You’d say we will miss you once you are gone, we miss you. We miss you so much. Nothing feels the same. Nothing. May Allah grant you Jannah and allow us to reunite with you there. LOVE YOU ABBA! <3
