was discussing gekkan BL akikawa-kun w/ @dirtbra1n & @sunnnfish specifically regarding somehow bringing Sasaki into the mix of akikawa’s unwitting assistants and.
well when he arrives, still unsure why he’s following miyano’s fav BL author (not his fav, maybe, but he definitely likes their work, this is true. also this is the guy miyano was talking admiringly abt when he talked abt his part time job. bc of his muscles. and he does have nice muscles. sasaki can admit this. what’s it mean when you know this is a guy who’s captivated your boyfriend’s attentions and also captivated your attentions. let’s not discuss that latter thing for too long. whatever. sasaki is still processing the whole mangaka thing because he doesn’t really know how the process works)
anyways he arrives and tashiro is there already. chewing on his lip as he pastes on screentones, and sasaki is still not really sure why he’s here, but tashiro lights up like he’s exactly who he wanted to see. sasaki-senpai! he greets, and jumps from the table to greet him with a high-five, the sound sharp enough to let sasaki know this is real.
they break for tea. sasaki ends up helping akikawa with his deadline, only he also had a fit of insomnia yesterday and the tea is like chamomile or something so he ends up dropping off to dreamland before it’s finished.
he wakes up with his head pillowed onto tashiro’s shoulder. it’s an awkward position because tashiro’s taller than miyano but sasaki still is kind of slumped down into his shoulder, and tashiro is also so casual about it that the instant he wakes up it’s like sasaki just… belongs here, dozing off into the crook of his neck, the same way he’d seen sasaki in akikawa’s apartment and acted like it was a completely natural turn of events.
sasaki leans off tashiro’s shoulder and it feels more like a detangling than it should. he’s almost convinced himself that it was a dream, that this whole thing was a dream, but after he stands up there’s a sharp sound underneath him—tashiro’s wailing because half his body has decided to fall asleep along with sasaki, only it hasn’t gotten the memo to wake up—and sasaki realizes, again, this is real.
