nami is the cleaner’s cartographer (and navigator)!!

(op x gachiakuta au pt.2)!! more notes for her jinki and backstory under the cut!!

nami’s jinki is her compass!! she got it as a gift from bellemere (who saw he interests in exploring the world and despite it’s limited use in their current world of trash she still wanted to give it to her bc it felts important to nami) and it basically has 2 functions: first one the base of the compass explands kto form the layout of the terrain within a certain distance, allowing signals of living people within the area too (don’t get to know WHO just that there is someone), and two the compass needles grow bigger and have rope attached to sort of use as grappling hooks!!

her backstory is somewhat this (wip): similar to op, bellemere finds nojiko and nami the same way. she then proceeds to quit the hellguards to raise the two (bc she def ain’t putting em thru hellguard training lmao) . bc nami is able to draw maps in good detail and quick ,she sold them to people here and there and arlong (unaffiliated) found out about her skills and essentially put her to work from a young age to keep the maps for them updated (fish men would be the equivalent for someone who willingly lived in no man’s land places maybe) and bellemere gets killed by trynna stop em from taking nami away…

she initially joined the cleaners under the watchful eyes of arlong but properly escapes when luffy joins cleaners and defeats arlong and stuff

chopper joins the cleaners as a new medic?

his jinki is his hat!! he partially transforms into a deer to be able to assess a person and infuse anima into a rumble ball to heal them! given to him by hiriluk of course,

his story in this au would be along the lines of: the travelling tribe/group his parents were a part of all decided to abandon him for being born very weak and premature (mainly due to the area they lived in while he was born being really really dusty instead of snow and in turn fuckig up choppers body at birth) hiriluk takes him in and tries to help him (along with his side gig as a crack doctor) he brings chopper to kureha after a while. kureha (who in this au is 100% friends with alice and was part of the team that figured out the body pollution stuff) takes an interesting in chopper and help cure him c:

hiriluk, who doesn’t understand the concept of a mask, continues to try heal people a (while also trying to research and get cherry blossoms to bloom despite being surrounded with trash), unsurprisingly gets body pollution-some kind of life threatening deviation and chopper goes to try find the rumoured mushroom to help cure him, ofc poisons him, and his final moments walpol (who is unaffiliated) bait him with the doctors captive stuff and he goes and yk his fate.

as a promise to him they light up cherry blossom fireworks and a REALLY big mural to commemorate him. (and there is a singular flower)

walpol still exists and tried to do underground work in this town (which for now is called vascan town) but as of right now chopper does move with kureha near alice to get more medical knowledge so everything is okay for now!

he has definitely has known eishia and august for a couple years

his jinki probably activated when kureha got sick and he was fully trusted to help her for the first time ! shortly after that he joins the cleaner as a second medic i think he helps eishia in moral support lmao

luffy’s role in this au’s chopper backstory is when wapol starts to become a problem again and chopper gets anxious he goes back on his own to try sort it out and obv doesn’t work and luffy (who was probably only recently recruited) comes in w the others!

uhh quick and very rough draft summary for parts of my version of the one piece gachiakuta au ft. law's and donquixote siblings backstory because whyever not. spoilers for both fandoms of course (more stuff from oomf in reblogs!)

the city side of the sphere in this au is the equivalent of mariejois and then as per canon the donquixotes move to the slums to experience the life there and obviously things Do Not Go Well. the version of the burning scene after everything else proceeds as normal is the residents just straight up tying the brothers up without the apostles' permission to be dropped into the pit after they're duly punished (although even if they knew they wouldn't intervene) (alternative option is the donquixotes attempting to force cross the division between the city and slums and getting his entire family caught but hm)

doffy somehow manages to break out of bindings (inate giver but unawakened, maybe) (devil fruit=giver potential basically) but not before cora and homing have already either been dropped or accidentally fell in the pit. in the split second of just so happening to look their way doffy also gets thrown down. we pretend canon doesn't exist for the single plot point of doffy and cora both survive the border somehow (homing is killed either before or after the drop) and arrive at the grounds.

zero idea as well if they were dropped in a no man's land but cora and doffy easily get separated into their branching plotlines with how messy it gets in the grounds so neither of them actually know if the other survived until they reunite. doffy joins the raiders with trebol while cora joins some other faction equivalent to the marines or something (baaahhh figuring it out) et cetera time skip cora joins as the equivalent of a supporter for the raiders (the raiders are always givers but doffy's branch does not care whatsoever because hey man we family) and starts throwing children out by putting them in drastic situations typical one piece style. you faker!!!! you're not a supporter!!!!! also his vital instrument is a makeup kit because echo said so and i agree

my draft take on flevance in this au is that it's basically a city built upon/made of glorified trash, maybe glorified by a giver or something? no idea. after the giver had a malfunction of some sort/whatever happens happens flevance is flooded by trash beasts and designated as another no man's land, practically self-made from the fires that just caused the repurposed trash to turn into nothing more than trash. you know what happens to the people in no man's lands without masks that the higher-ups most definitely did not provide. rumors spread that any remnants of the people there inherently breathe out polluted air as a result of their tarnished lungs and dirty the environment or something.

law probably felt more compelled to join doffy because i mean his headquarters is literally on a pile of trash in canon as well but point is. he proceeds to join the doffy's branch of the raiders (hence why his design still has the stitch-like motifs even after escaping. heh) and timeskip 2 years again! white lead disease in this case affects the lungs more than anything and wow are those failing for law so you know the drill. once again zero idea how to make the d name plotline gachiakuta-canon but we ball (it's not the watchman series those are...wearable poneglyphs lmao). as per above the ope-ope fruit is a vital instrument (though i'm still deciding if law's actual vital instrument is his hat/kikoku/something else). insert confrontation

extra notes! because this is a cora lives au cora does as a matter of fact live woahhhh no way!!!!! law's crew is just made entirely of supporters apart from him because it's silly. and sabo is there because i felt like it mrrrrhp. probably more i could talk about but that's about it for this section of the au yeah!! idk if you actually wanted me to answer you but here have it anyway @miquerida
