Bev: I’m gonna give my father a pizza my mind!
Stan: Did you just say pizza my mind?
Bev: Yeah, it’s an expression!

Just like how Bev marries Tom and Eddie marries Myra because they remind them of their parents, I think Henry has done something similar with Patrick and Butch. Of course, in Henry's mind they aren't dating, they just fuck and hang out alone, but I don't think Henry would let Patrick take advantage of him if he did not subconciously remind him of Butch at least a little.
What's the difference between a paperman and a man who's not real? What's the difference between a boy that suffocated his brother because he upset his daily routine and a man who shot at his son for failing to do a chore for him? What's the difference between daddy dearest demanding you prove you're a real man by killing an animal and your friend demanding you prove it by taking off your pants? I can't see the difference, and I doubt Henry can either.
Bev married Tom because a worried violent man was what she was used to, Eddie married Myra because a controlling smother was what he was used to, and Henry let's Patrick fuck him behind closed doors because a condescending, cold bastard who INSISTS Henry isn't real, and thusly, undeserving of respect or decency, is what he's used to, it's his whole life.
That's his home.
9, 14, 26 !!!
9. Most disliked character(s)? Why?
I don't want to go for the obvious, Pennywise because IT sucks.
So I'll go with Sonia Kaspbrak because she is abusive to her child.
Al Marsh because he is abusive to his child.
And Butch Bowers because, you guessed it, he's abusive to his child.
14. Unpopular opinion about your fandom?
I like Patrick Hockstetter. His character was interesting because he wasn't affected by IT. He was just horrible, not because of trauma or evil clown magic, he was just a horrible person.
IT had a hard time scaring him because he wasn't scared of anything. He wasn't even scared of leeches, he just really hated them. So he really made it hard for IT to scare him so IT could kill and eat him. That honestly made him scarier than IT itself.
26. Most shippable character?
Richie Tozier
I know you said you meant to put 27 so I'm answering both for you
27. Least shippable character?
Ben, I can only see him with one person and that's Bev.
Fellow canadians
I watched IT with my mother recently. Since we’re canadians, I like pointing out to her canadian actors in non-canadian movies/series, so it was basically like this.
Me, sees Richie Tozier, Victor Criss, Belch Huggins, Adult!Henry Bowers, Beverly’s father, Butch Bowers, Mr Keene, and Adrian Mellon: “Look mom! They’re Tim Hortons too!”
My mother, just trying to watch the goddamn movie: (¬_¬)
what bev thinks about?
Part Six!! Who else should I do? Doesn’t have to be a Loser!
Richie - Eddie - Bill - Stan - Mike - Bev - Ben - Georgie
Bev is very contemplative. She likes to think. About everything. A lot. So a big part of her brain is filled with overthinking.
Another big part is her father. She worries. What he will be like when she comes home, if he’s going to be in a good mood or a bad mood.
Even at a young age, she is already very creative. She likes to think up ideas and designs for clothes. She thinks maybe that’s what she’ll do with her life.
A small part of her brain is dedicated to Ben(Benverly 4ever). It’s not a huge part because she doesn’t really understand it, and so, she decides to ignore it.
sorry for bad quality lmao
Breaking News! There is a mistake in Stephen Kings IT and I guess, I have to take everything back or stay confused foreeever… It says in Chapter 9 Part 2 that Beverly got her red hair from Al Marsh, so he is her father, but I checked the english version, in Chapter 6 Part 3 King writes about him being her stepfather. The fuck 😅 Good job, King… Good job. But I still love the book 💕
in the book, beverly marsh and victor criss’s dads were both part of the bradley gang massacre of 1929. so yet another reason i’m sad he fucked up joining the losers is because bev lost an opp to bond with another kid with a truly shitty dad
“hey, remember when our dads straight up murdered a bunch of people back in the day??”
“yeah. he tells that story every christmas. pass me a cigarette.”
