Above the landing field at Mont-Saint Pierre, Québec, Way up at the top of the Gaspé peninsula, and the site of two national championships and many fly-ins over the years. When soaring above this site, you can look over a hundred km across the Estuary of the st. Lawrence River to the North Shore, and perhaps spot a whale or two. Photo in August 1980 by Graydon Tranquilla of himself, flying an Electra flyer spirit, the same glider model I used to set the Canadian endurance record at the same site. More photos and stories are in the Canadian hang gliding and paragliding history blog on blogspot.com and in the Facebook group by the same name. #hanggliding #vollibre #deltaplane #gaspésie #aladelta #asadelta (at Mont-Saint-Pierre, Quebec) https://www.instagram.com/p/BwfeNm_nKXg/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1iu30oj856aue
