It is way past midnight when Charlie suddenly wakes up from his deep slumber and needs something to drink. Maybe something to eat too.
He crawls out of bed and shudders when his bare feet hit the cold tiles underneath him. In the dark, he stretches out his hands to find the door. Even though he basically still knows his old bedroom’s lay-out like the back of his hand, the stuff he put in there is often unorganized and it’s easy to trip. Even in broad daylight.
Eventually, he finds the door and is almost immediately greeted by the light of the living room.
There’s the sound of TV-static.
The young guy blinks as his eyes try to get adjust to the artificial lighting. A part of the television is blocked by a figure. His dad.
