What is your favourite scent?

a short list, in no particular order:

1. freshly brewed coffee2. jasmine (either in bloom, or on a girl’s skin)3. lilacs in bloom4. the tomato plants in my garden, after it rains5. pavement, after it rains6. the smell before a thunderstorm, that sharp bite of ozone7. old books8. leather9. a bunch of sweaty punks at a show (I know, that one sounds like it should be a bad smell, but after two+ decades of living the punk life it’s hard-wired into me to dig that smell)as far as scents to wear:1. Follow Me, Boy (it’s musky and sweet at the same time)2. The Hell Gate of Ireland (musk, clove, and labdanum)

72. what question do you hate answering?

Questions about childhood are a little hard on me. In many ways, my childhood was idyllic? But only due to limited perspective. I endured a lot of neglect and abuse during that time, so it's hard to reflect nostalgically without the negatives. Like, being burnt apparently is not a common childhood method of deterrence? Who knew.

I LOVE thunderstorms. Give me churning clouds over clear skies any day.

Hard times always give way to better ones, so just stay the course, weather the storm, and share the tale of triumph once you’re on the other side.
