AUGH THESE TWO !! my shaeps that I love they've been taking over my brain all month
I've developed them quite a bit further now and am toying with a couple ideas for a larger story. You can read about it and see bonus Euclydian designs under the cut!
Main idea atm is where Angelus's ego gets in the way of Atticus's humanity. Angel has been fighting to be "the Flatland guy" his whole life and so when Atticus starts to outgrow his teachings and become independent he begins to feel worried that he'll be forgotten since Atticus can speak for himself now. But then it's also like, if he can't prove Flatlander intelligence or get Spaceland at large to care about Flatlanders then he fails anyway. And of course there's literally nothing Atticus wants more than for Angel to be proud of him, and so if Angel decides to purposefully impede his independence Atticus would probably just accept it in full.
I dunno, I really like it but I'm wondering if there should be more of a social commentary angle. I suppose I just gravitate more towards interpersonal relationships. But there's definitely still room for a B or C plot. Still working it out!
