I wish Albert and Carolines relationship in lhotp was explored more or at least had an episode centered around it. Like sure, Albert needed a father figure in his life but he needed a mother figure just as much. Caroline was the one who convinced Charles to take Albert with them when moving back from Winoka!!!

Learning to heal from the child abuse in the orphanage and the streets with motherly love? Could have been a fucking great episode.

My Thoughts On Albert Ingalls Death

I seen this on reddit:

"At the end of one episode, Laura narrates that "Years later, we were so proud to have Doctor Albert Ingalls home again", making clear that Albert eventually got into medical school and became a doctor. 5 episodes later Albert has leukemia and dies."

I will continue to live in my delusional bubble and stand by my words,

"ALBERT DID NOT DIE!!!!"

Maybe the most unrealistic part of Little House was how easily they got over the blind school burning and people dying. Jonathan quit drinking after a stern talking to. Mary never talks about her baby again. Nobody blames Albert. Yes, it was an accident but there should have been big repercussions. He was responsible for killing two people. Taken his background as an orphan, not having a mentally safe environment to grow in, most likely lacking in talking about feelings department, there should have been trauma, depression, PTSD.

Me, watching lhotp look back to yesterday: “Surely I don’t have whatever rare blood disease Albert has. That would be ridiculous. This was over a hundred years ago. AND Albert was a character written into the show. He didn’t even exist.

Also me, five minutes later, hearing that Albert’s symptoms are tiredness, and nose bleeds; EVEN THOUGH I’m watching the movie at 1 AM and my last nose bleed was 10 years ago: My time has come.
