I spun a wheel to choose six questions for my WoL Albert Rellevart.
Where was your OC born, and where did they grow up? He was born in Ala Mhigo, but did the majority of his growing up in Limsa Lominsa after he was adopted (more like taken as a carry on) along with his childhood friend who refused to be separated from him.
Does your OC have any physical scars? What is the story behind them? He has a scar that runs from his forehead across his nose. Zenos gave him this scar during their final battle after destroying the Endsinger.
Does your OC hold grudges? How good are they at letting things go? Do they believe in second chances? He is terrible about holding onto grudges. He can and has hung onto grudges for years. It's literally emotional exhaustion that finally makes him start to forgive, because he's just too tired to keep hating with the same passion.
That being said, he did eventually somewhat forgive Gaius thanks to helping with the situation at Werylt and seeing that essentially the old soldier had been blinded by loyalty and he had some redeeming traits after all. (This mentality helped dealing with Jullus when he met him properly much later) Nero however will never be truly forgiven. He has too much arrogance for Albert to trust he's sincere, and just sees him as having chosen the winning side.
How good is your OC at apologizing, if they do this at all? Depends on who he's apologizing to. If it's to his wife, he's more than willing to admit that he's made a mistake and he will be profuse in his apologizing. Anyone else? Slightly less likely. The only other person he is half willing to give an apology to is his brother-in-law, who happens to also be a good friend.
What are some assumptions others make about your OC? Are any of them true? They believe that Albert is a fundamentally kind and understanding person, and most of the time that's at least somewhat true. Unless someone had done something to deserve it, he's generally a pretty nice guy to be around.
This however does not apply to Garleans and their allies. Most have never truly seen how actually racist and hateful he is towards them because the ones they see him interacting with are the 'good ones' who have been given a pass. Therefore, when they were to go to Garlemald, and Albert's wife warned them that he should not go because she knew he was going to start a massacre, they didn't believe her. (Fortunately for Garlemald, Albert woke up as Ardbert before they could actually go to Garlemald and played the part in his stead, so no Garlean massacre took place. Albert didn't wake up again until Elpis when Emet-Selch took one look at the soul damage that had been caused during the Eden raids by Mitron and got irritated by it, so he fixed it)
What is your OC afraid of? Something bad happening to his wife. He is fiercely protective of her, and if she were ever to become seriously injured, he doesn't know what he'd do.
