Crystal (Escapism)

A girl with hundreds of dreams who somehow found herself cast into a role way too big for her - the protector and chief of Babylon, the hometown of Avalon's children. Very much a broken soul trying not to entirely collapse.

4. Any addictions? (Food, sex, drugs/alcohol, shopping, power/control, etc.)

She absolutely loves flying, and is very good at it. Most children can't fly, though, so she only does it at night in order to avoid creating jealousy in her comrades. Whenever there's a big project that keeps her from sneaking out to fly for more than a few days, she gets exceptionally and inexplicably short-tempered.

5. What is one thing they do that can negatively affect their relationship with friends?

She's constantly torn between her duties and her individual desires, and she systematically prioritizes her duties. That keeps most people from relating to her on a personal level, so friendships don't really appear in the first place.

6. Their romantic relationships?

She loved the boy who taught her how to fly. Then he suddenly left Babylon's protection in her hands and she pretty much hasn't had time for that whole romance thing since that day.

10. Some of their emotional shortcomings?

She constantly restrains herself for the sake of her duties. The resulting person appears to be tough. Appears.

18. Are they ever a pushover about something? If so, how?

If you start walking the path of apples, she'll scold you, but she won't take action to stop you.

20. What is a self-inflicted misery of theirs? (i.e. something they perpetuate themselves)

She refuses the very idea of eating a corrupted apple to extend her awakening even though she knows that means she'll eventually lose her wings - the most precious thing in the world for her. She angst about it a lot.

Takamina gets first rank for probably obvious reasons (she is me). She's AKB0048's captain, a competent team leader, an inspiration and a very determined woman, a description which I identify with a lot. Nagisa and Yuuko get their slots because they're both achievers (although they work very differently - Nagisa is an ignorant achiever with an excellent intuition, whereas Yuuko generally knows exactly what she's trying to do but lacks the means to achieve it), Mimori gets her slot because I have heavy feels over her ability to keep functioning despite the major trauma that comes with being part of the cursed 75th generation, and Orine is here because Orine is the cutest thing ever (and her character arcs are usually really nice too).

I've only seen Bakemonogatari and Nekomonogatari Kuro up to now, so I'm definitely not up to date (have seen neither Nisemonogatari nor Monogatari Second Season), so this order might - and probably will - change in the future (Nadeko, I'm looking at you). Aaand I can't really explain my reasons for this order without spoiling either so I won't, sorry again!
