This took FOREVERR. But I think it was worth it?? Someone very kind here gave me some amazing advice about how to incorporate backgrounds (thank you so so much for the push). This is quite literally my first drawing with a background so even tho it may look like shit I’m still proud of this milestone in my art journey

I only have 3 versions of Alden that live in my brain:

Sad wet cat man who just generally sucks but wants to father

Rebel guy who is working for the council but also is very aware of whats going on (knew Prentice well, Quinlin homsexual)

Literally a stupid homosexual who's the definition of "sleeping your way to the top", is literally Della’s trophy husband and the councils eye candy (idk hes a whore and a stupid homosexual)

Sadly none will ever be Canon. All of them are in my heart

Canon in my heart

Canon: Alden was guilty that he broke Prentice's mind because because Prentice had a son and he also had a son

Fanon: Alden was in love with Prentice (or had smth going on with Tiergen) and was deeply guilty because he killed someone he loved

Correct: Prentice was Alden’s mentor as a child (because Alden’s actually not that old for an elf) and was the only one to actually notice how horrible his parents were, so Alden’s mind shattered from the guilt of preforming a mind break on his father figure and taking him away from his own child

Maybe Fitz was so hellbent on him and Sophie being really close as cognates because he saw Alden and Quinlin act gay as shit as cognates and thought that was normal
