I feel like this might be some subconscious word choice to soften Alvar's crime. He's evil guys. He is EVIL.

The idea that all the Vacker's names have 5 letters except for Fitz

Alden- 5 letters

Della- 5 letters

Alvar- 5 letters

Biana- 5 letters

Fitzroy- 7 letters

Even when he shortens his name to his nickname, Fitz, it comes out to only 4 letters. You would think Alvar would have the name that doesn't fit the pattern, representing his differing views and resentment towards his family. Fitz though is the one left out; he can never be on the same level as his family, either surpassing them or falling short

Interestingly the only time Fitz's name has 5 letters is when Keefe uses the nickname, Fitzy. Almost like Keefe is pushing Fitz in with the rest of his "perfect" family

This could totally be a coincidence, but I thought the pattern and the amazing implications that could come with it were too noticeable to ignore

You mean Sophie, whos possibly GAD is used to excuse every thing toxic behavior she has in canon- because she's anxious. (And, honestly, she is good rep, because she accurately shows in canon the toxic traits seen in people with anxiety who choose not to get treatment or own up for hurting people)

You mean Keefe, who is the stereotype of the "uwu abused autistic boy"? Who is another straight white boy? Who's entire personality (in fanon) is about his girlfriend and only shows the socially acceptable symptoms of a mental illness?

Hate to break this to the fandom: the most accurate depiction of how mental illness fucks up your life and relationships, and you're constantly taking accountability for actions that you're trying to control but can't, have massive pressure to be "normal," fucked up relationships with people who do not empathize with you- either because they refuse to see past the mask you're putting on OR because they see through it an decide its not worth their time, who is actively blames constantly for mental health issues, who's trauma and problems are not taken seriously simply because others don't deal with them, who shows so many symptoms- ugly symptoms- of "not so bad" disorders like ADHD, Autism, PTSD and OCD and suffers from them with no help from others,

Is Fitz Vacker.

I don't hate Keefe, Sophie, or honestly any character in KOTLC, but i do hate how this fandom decides to romanticize mental illnesses and disorders.

My disorder is not your fluffy uwu thumb fanfic, stop demonizing characters for showing accurate symptoms and effects of the same disorder you choose to fawn over other characters for

for day 4: family of fitz week 2025!! some of you may have seen the original ask i sent @bookwyrminspiration about this commission idea, which is what this commission was based on. i got this commissioned from microplaid on instagram, and they did such an amazing job with it. i'm in love with how it turned out! the vacker siblings' dynamics are some of my favorite in the entire series, and i just think it's so interesting and reveals so much about their characters.

tam song WINS the idgaf war. Kept telling everyone he and linh were twins to mess with their parents. Said "fuck the lost cities" and followed linh into exile. Reads peoples minds by overlapping shadows. brought a dead body into his fathers house covered in ash on a random Tuesday with no notice (same father he has not talked to in years). brought snacks to go meet a neverseen member thats known to kidnap and torture children. chilled out while Sophie and keefe and dex were talking about rex being talentless under their breaths as if he actually gave a shit.
