The idea that all the Vacker's names have 5 letters except for Fitz

Alden- 5 letters

Della- 5 letters

Alvar- 5 letters

Biana- 5 letters

Fitzroy- 7 letters

Even when he shortens his name to his nickname, Fitz, it comes out to only 4 letters. You would think Alvar would have the name that doesn't fit the pattern, representing his differing views and resentment towards his family. Fitz though is the one left out; he can never be on the same level as his family, either surpassing them or falling short

Interestingly the only time Fitz's name has 5 letters is when Keefe uses the nickname, Fitzy. Almost like Keefe is pushing Fitz in with the rest of his "perfect" family

This could totally be a coincidence, but I thought the pattern and the amazing implications that could come with it were too noticeable to ignore

for day 4: family of fitz week 2025!! some of you may have seen the original ask i sent @bookwyrminspiration about this commission idea, which is what this commission was based on. i got this commissioned from microplaid on instagram, and they did such an amazing job with it. i'm in love with how it turned out! the vacker siblings' dynamics are some of my favorite in the entire series, and i just think it's so interesting and reveals so much about their characters.

in case there's any confusion, the order from top to bottom is biana, alvar, and fitz. i'm going to include the original photo the pose was based on under the cut.

so many thoughts circulating my smooth brain so here are the lovely vacker siblings … long ramble ahead my friends

i have been thinking about elven clothing and culture and that sort of thing. I feel like all elves at least in some regard dress in regards to nature. Like when I drew sophie and keefe and both had a very like natural vibe with a lot of animal and plant symbolism. however I feel like for nobles they’d be a little more prestigious or whatever and associate themselves with things like alicorns and dragons (forgive me I haven’t read kotlc in ages). Besides like those select few animals be a lot more obsessed with the abiotic factors, specifically things like rocks/gems/mountains (like how everything is sparkly), light, and the sky. In a way, they are literally above the other classes because their symbolism physically resides above. Meaning families that ARENT noble align themselves with biotic factors like birds and butterflies and stuff. Even someone like keefe who comes from a noble family who rejects it by wearing naturey stuff only goes so far bc his cloak(cape? idfk but when I originally typed cloak it auto corrected to cloaca sighs im biology major) still aligns with that noble style. Omfg I just had such a great brain moment the cloak cape whatever is like your mask and it shows your status WOW I ate with that .. ok anyways alvar here is a little different though he’s rejecting his noble life and wearing more anturey honestly more plain clothes.

On that topic I feel like ancients r probably obsessed with light and stardust and that stuff,, like to me they’d look more celestial. The councilors think they eat (they don’t but still) and r probably also on that bs. I have this vision where the councilors are like obsessed with light .

Also in general bc elves are very obsessed with their abilities, they like to show it off REGARDLESS of class (even the neverseen! That’s why alvar looks like that lol…). I tried to really incorporate that here especially with alvar and biana, kind of like how a prism passes light through it and makes rainbows (i was listening to pink floyd when drawing this)

ANYWAYS I do hope to draw more of the elves i think it would be really interesting to think more on this!!
