alenkoblue replied to your post āAnother alternative for some sort of LGBTQ+ week could be an LGBTQ+...ā
if we do LGBTQ+ Shepards from January 30 to 5, then (potentially) femslash week from February 13 to 19, and then rare characters Feb 27 to March 5 then there's a week to prepare for each and femslash week has valentine's day and there's still 2 weeks after that to ride the MEA hype train before release
you figured out our calendar omgĀ
@ladiesofmasseffect @lenaoxton you up for it?Ā
@alenkoblue if you have more prompts I might need them for when I make the post
Another alternative for some sort of LGBTQ+ week could be an LGBTQ+ Shepards week. Given the diversity of identities, it might be easier to use prompts to divide the week, like "coming out", "romance (or lack thereof)", "pride", etc.
Thatās a great idea. Okay, when? Nobody answered me about AU Week so not sure if people are okay with it for the week about to start, there could still be a femslash week for February and a bit before that LGBTQ+ week for Shepard, maybe from January 30 to February 5?
I still would love to do a Rare Characters Week to include Steve and Sam like anon asked, it would depend on @ladiesofmasseffect doing femslash week or not and when.Ā
alenkoblue replied to your post ādid you read gameinformer piece about romances in andromeda? and if so...ā
I hope what the "out of left field" comment was referring to is how some characters have been "straight" options but fans have always read them as queer, like Jack, or Cassandra from DAI. I think it might also mean that their might be actual acknowledgement of sexuality and orientation by the characters. They definitely had success with Dorian in DAI by actively acknowledging that he was gay, and gay men related well based on similar personality/character traits.
Oh. I really didnāt think of it that way, thank you!
And yes, acknowledging it in the narrative is a good thing.

I was thinking about this sort of thing after Liara plays piano for you. I'm really interested in what music from other races sounds like and the instruments they developed, but we have pretty much no information except that everybody still dances to techno music.
We have some names of bands and a vague idea of what they might sound like but yeah, not much else. And I can only assume that pianos were created on both sides but their history is different?

I don't know. Maybe "Glasses" or something like that because we never see anyone wearing them (is that a medical advancement in the lore or a design oversight?)
My glasses search leads me to some discussions we had, but I donāt really have an answer. I think itās supposed to be an advancement, but I donāt really think itās that simple? Basically I donāt know. I need to do some research on that.Ā
But the nickname is cute :)
I'd have to go ME3 Normandy because I would absolutely love to meet Kaidan, and Cortez. Plus Vega might give me a nickname and that would be the greatest gift anyone could ever give me lol
Aaaah. Which nickname do you think heāll give you?Ā
alenkoblue replied to your post āI replayed the Citadel DLC for god-knows-which-time and I'm having...ā
It would have been so cool if you could have kept the clone around, but even cooler if they could have become a new squadmate. It would have helped tie the DLC into the rest of the game because nobody ever mentions any part of it outside the DLC itself. You'd think the Normandy being hijacked would be a bigger deal to the crew...
Didnāt they always plan to release it as a DLC after releasing ME3, which is why it ended this way? I also wonder if they wanted that DLC to be ambiguous, making some players think itās basically an afterlife (though if this really was an afterlife, the one who died in Virmire, Mordin, Thane and Legion would be there!)
But yeah, I would love to have seen more Shepard & Shepard clone interactions. And now that I think about it, I think Samantha, after some time, would have been a great friend to Shepardās clone. What could have been :/
