For my 200th Instagram post, I thought it should be something special. My gateway into comics was Batman, first from the classic TV show, then the original Tim Burton movie. Since I was a kid Batman has always been my favorite character. I first started working professionally in comics 20 years ago this month, after a quickly planned trip to San Diego Comic Con, right out of high school. I actually took my mom with me, and she helped me by waiting in portfolio review lines while I talked to as many editors and artists as I could. Since then I’ve gotten to work for pretty much every publisher out there and have several career highlights, but this is my first time working on a cover for Batman.
