Cyclops #1 was a great first issue. Spoilers ahead.

1. I loved how it deals with Scott and his need for control and what happens when he doesn't have it.

2. We see Dr. Robyn Hanover and the orphanage again. In present day!! His aloofness with her when she breaks down and apologises to him as he processes all that she's said, speaks volumes.

3. Some more lore about young Scott and how he fought so goddamn hard when they tried to take Alex away from him that the orderlies had to get tetanus shots because he bit them hard and he set fire to a wing.

4. Alex actually cares about Scott.

5. Donald Pierce is a special kind of asshole.

6. The plane crash parallels between past and present.

7. The Alex and Mei parallels as the younger kid Scott has to protect.

Overall, this issue was enjoyable.
