Alexander Keith's by Bryan O'Toole Via Flickr: I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Alexander Keith's brewery in Halifax, while on our way to Cape Breton for a cousin's wedding. Although we passed on going to Peggy's Cove due to the poor weather, visiting the brewery more than made up for it. The brewery is amazing, and the tour is definitely a must for anyone visiting Halifax. Along the tour, you go down to the Stag's Head Tavern for a couple mugs of beer, where this shot was taken. Although it was quite dark, with low ceilings, I refrained from using flash. I'm very impressed with the Nikon D7000's high ISO performance. File replaced August 31, 2011 after realizing I exported the file with the wrong colour space and was looking desaturated in certain web browsers.

Alexander Keith's Red Amber Ale, Nova Scotia, Canada 5% - I like drinking things that make me feel like a patriot. I'll also be up front with you this is one of my favourite beers. Now that aside was it a good shower beer? Yeah. Oh yeah. What I said aside it's great, light enough to enjoy on its own in the comfort of the shower, but enough flavour so you know it's there. Great to sip, or take back a big drink. If you can pick this up, try it for yourself. 8/10
